Your afternoon update on Operation Epic Azalea: the blooms have beaten & completely decimated Skinnerville both militarily, economically, and in every other way. This will bring the world together towards Harmony, Security, and Everlasting Peace.

Morning update for Operation Epic Azalea: foggy conditions have not had any detrimental effect on the unapologetic lethality of the blooms, which are the heaviest and greatest in history, the likes of which no one has ever seen.

Home. Gonna be a looooong four days coming up, with our annual St Patrick’s Day insanity. A city of maybe 150,000 (county of 300,000) will add easily 300,000 or more people for St Patrick’s. But this afternoon I can water roses and stare at azaleas and feel luckier than I deserve

Your morning update on Operation Epic Azalea:
We are raining blooms down from above in unapologetic lethality. More flowers will open today than at any other time in this conflict.

It is. Planted them about five or six years ago. It’s doing well.

Your evening update for Operation Epic Azalea.
The excursion continues but is also won & will keep being won for a few more weeks. Peak bloom for the eastern flank is a day or so away, but we can report that the west is now PEAK BLOOM. USA USA USA. For me, it’s worth whatever other people are paying

It’s been getting earlier every year. Though this year is more in line with normal cuz we had a few cold snaps. Last year I was peak azalea on February 28

Operation Epic Azalea continues with relentlessness and other tough sounding words. The blooms on the eastern flank are not as relentless as those on the western flank, but the operation is still the best ever and only commies say otherwise. And they are very pretty.

The blooms don’t stop at night during Operation Epic Azalea, which is very complete, pretty much, and already won but not yet won

Operation Epic Azalea is not complete. Today will be the most intensive blooms we’ve seen so far.

Prepping for court, and realized it’s been six years since I became a detective. Nine years since I joined the police. Nine years. Feels like between one year and one hundred years, depending on the day. We shall see.

Nieces actually liked the Sichuan eggplant dish. They don’t have to sleep in the car…for now…

Whatever ingredients I have on hand. I’ve got all the staples for Chinese/indian/ME recipes, but sometimes I don’t have any shallots or green onions or cilantro etc. so I’ll make dishes based on what we have until I go to the store.

So then I made my go-to dish of all dishes, the Sichuan fish-fragrant eggplant (not fishy, just the name for the pickling sauce/technique). Easily the most delicious dish of my sad little life. We shall see if they like it or not. No pressure, of course, but they’re out of the will if they hate it

Made falafel for the nieces. With the zhug dippy. One loved it. One hated it. Which is fine (he says, with crushed spirit and sad face).

It does take some time. Evidently it makes a noticeable and positive difference in how the ingredients taste, since crushing is way different than the cutting of a food processor. I don’t find it relaxing, as it is heavy and kinda loud. But it’s worth it. I sometimes sit on porch with MeanCat

This senator hasn’t done a thing for his state in decades. All he does is scream on tv about how much he loves the man who hates him.
