Full 2 Line schedule is UP, for March 29th and later (per usual, opening day schedule gets set later). The 1 and 2 Line combined schedule will have to wait a bit while I work through some stop and trip sorting issues, because both lines together are quite the stress test! Stay tuned...

My intent is to keep the list updated over the coming years as service changes affect the list. While I've documented suspended routes to the best of my research, I'm bound to have some errors, so feel free to let me know if you see anything inaccurate.

The list of suspended routes I've included is based on research I've done going back to 2020. I've attributed most Metro suspensions to 4/6/20 as that's when almost all of them occurred. I've not included routes that were suspended then restored within 2020.

The Suspended Routes tab, showing currently suspended King County Metro route. Many of these have been suspended for nearly 6 years and counting.
The schedule for suspended route 37. Suspended routes show the schedule for the last day of operation before suspension, and always pop up with the "suspended" status on every trip. There is also a message showing that it's suspended, when it was suspended, when it was restored (if it was) or any other notes about it.
Settings for suspended routes in the routes list options, including letting you show suspended routes in the main routes list for each agency.
Sound Transit tab showing suspended routes, which are indicated with a red background to warn about its suspended status.
With the new routes list, TransitTimes can show you suspended routes. Agencies have done a good job at burying these over the years such that most people aren't even aware of them. Clicking on a suspended route shows info about its suspension, and what the schedule was the last day it operated.

TransitTimes will have a combined 1 and 2 Line schedule (Seattle to Lynnwood) ready as soon as schedule files are published by Sound Transit. This could begin as early as February if ST publishes schedules for the west side of the 2 Line during simulated service.

Before: A single drop-down list showed every single route available in TransitTimes, grouped by agency alphabetically. After: A new routes menu shows all routes in an easy to navigate menu, with agencies shown as tabs, and the routes list being shown in multiple columns.
Routes menu showing the Sound Transit 1 Line selected, with options to clear the selection, or to take you to that line in the Sound Transit tab.
Search functionality of the new routes menu, showing routes containing "college" in their names. From here, you can select one of these routes, or instantly find them in their tabs with a single click.
A phone-size view of the routes menu showing a route group selected. This menu adapts to fit any size screen. Additionally, selecting a route group shows you the individual routes in the group, allowing to find that route, or even remove one of the routes from the group (and just showing the remaining routes).
πStarting off 2026 with a major new TransitTimes feature!π
The old routes list is gone. Now, there is a new routes menu with agencies grouped into tabs. This change unlocks a ton of new features which we've yet to highlight or build, but in the meantime, go ahead and try it out!

I have route groups you can select, including Sounder schedules combined with buses that go the same places (i.e., Sounder shadow). Makes it easy to set whether the train or the bus "wins".
This particular time, 578 and S Line leave Seattle at the same time, but S Line beats 578 by an entire hour.

On Sat, SB 45 and 48 combine for 30 minute frequency, and Sun it is "20-40" minute spacing. Frustratingly, northbound service on weekends isn't coordinated for frequency, with pairs of buses every hour instead of one every half hour. This is puzzling as weekday coordination looks deliberate.

Shared segment of routes 45 and 48 in Tacoma with generally frequent service.
Hidden frequent service in Tacoma! π
Pierce Transit routes 45 & 48 have a significant shared segment on Yakima from S 13th to 38th (and Commerce Stn). It has combined frequent service on weekdays (though NB service loses coordination after 2:30pm). Not bad for PT!

Big thanks to the Halfmoon UI library (gethalfmoon.com) for powering the UI of this site since 2023 and enabling dark mode support since day one, but more recently for the three supported themes (default, modern, and elegant).

Another settings update. They're now organized in a new menu, and the show/hide the map and stop list buttons are moved in the new settings menu. Also, added option to choose light or dark mode (previously it only followed browser preference), and introduced different themes.

Showing a schedule in TransitTimes as a first time user might see it: just the schedule, with a heads up for a trip that is cancelled.
Allow me to introduce myself! TransitTimes is a website with transit schedules for the Seattle area. It's a personal project 3Β½ years in the making, by an enthusiast but for everyone! Beginner-friendly by default, but with stats and visualizations just another click away.
