Northbound FWLE schedule on opening day.
Southbound FWLE schedule on opening day.
Opening day (Dec 6) schedule for Federal Way Link is up! Refer to ST for schedule of activities, but trains are scheduled to start out of Federal Way at 11:01. There is also a Star Lake-Federal Way only train leaving Star Lake at 11:08 shortly after the northbound train arrives.

The thing is, there's not a BRT "route", rather it's a bunch of routes which are rapid on this section. I personally really like this way of doing things even though it doesn't register as a BRT.

I actually don't mind K&Rs in places where lots of people would need to drive to access the station. A small lot that can serve hundreds of trips per day is much more economical than a giant parking garage that would be needed to support the same trips. Problem is we build both and both are "free".

Amazing how optimistic AI slop is about permitting reform in Seattle.

One of the many weird things about Sound Transit not doing bus changes for East/FW Link until the fall of next year is it'll be easier than it has ever been in history to get to Mountlake Terrace at peak without a car.
11 buses/hr (510 & 515)
15 trains/hr (1 & 2 Lines)

I wonder if they're trying to get the signage done before Thanksgiving. Only legit sounding reason I can think of for them not waiting 4 more weeks to do this.

When view options were first added to TransitTimes, they looked like this. Since then, a ton more have been added, but they've stayed above the schedule. Now that they're moved into a dialog, it looks a lot less cluttered.

I didn't use night owl service very much, except the 11. I remember the 11 running every hour through the whole night. It's since lost its night owl status, though the G-Line is every half hour through the night, so that's I guess a roundabout way night owl service improved along the old route 11.

Glad it helped! Yeah, a big motivation for this site was the fact that it's REALLY hard to find old schedules (and Metro has done a good job wiping away any trace of the suspended routes), yet historical GTFS files are readily available on archive sites. All that was needed was a way to view them.

That's great! Thanks to everyone who advocated for this, I actually didn't think they were going to keep it.

Yes, TransitTimes can show the full schedule for any route in 2019. Here's route 47: transittimes.app?serviceDate=...
It goes back farther too. Here's the pre-ULink route 43: transittimes.app?serviceDate=...

Thanks for the plug @oranv.com !
transittimes.app shows schedules as far back as I have GTFS files for (currently fall 2009 for King County Metro, though I don't have every service change in between then and now). Anything from before that will have to come from elsewhere.

I've thought about this option back in 2016 as a potential back up proposal in case ST3 failed. Converting West Seattle to BRT and sending the 1 or 2 Line to Ballard via UW would've been an easy way to shed billions in cost while still building a transformative light rail line.

1 Line schedule showing service to Federal Way!
It's so close, the schedule's even up! 1 Line service to Kent-Des Moines, Star Lake, and Federal Way opens Dec 6, and you can see it now on TransitTimes. Just set the date after Dec 6 and you can see yourself!
Also, note that the opening day schedule has not yet been published.

Now it looks like even things we had not that long ago like all-day (ish) 566, and a Sounder timed Bellevue express (567) are just, not gonna happen?
Cutting the 566/567 from Redmond to Bellevue TC even in just the afternoon would be an easy service hour harvest with the way traffic is there.

Kinda disappointed. I was hoping for a return to an earlier era of ST with all day corridors not mostly so narrowly focused on Seattle (there was a 582 east Pierce to Tacoma, and a south Eastside well connected to Bellevue, FW and Pierce).

A funny thing about this map is that technically, it erroneously shows the 2 Line as operating in Seattle with the 1 Line, just not connected to the Bellevue side.

Federal Way Downtown Station now shows both platforms combined into one stop.
I added the 1 Line stops to the FWDS stop group on TransitTimes. This combines both platforms into one stop in the schedule, and makes things like the frequency visualization work properly for this station.

Could getting trains cleared at Lynnwood be substantially improved by having supplemental staff as the station full time? Also, in especially disruptive cases, would they be able to let passengers who need time stay on board (with staff) into the tail track, and get off after it turns around?

This is super cool! I knew the original DSTT needed "dual mode" diesel/trolleybuses due to operating in a tunnel, but I just figured the ventilation was upgraded since then. I had no idea the buses had to have a special mode for this (though I did notice the engine would shut off at DSTT stops).
