The problem is this "big idea" we are supposed to coalesce around. The leaders of the big parties we look to have stolen the neo-classical emperors clothes and the power of financial markets makes radical change without a massive economic impossible.
New paper published in EIST Transitions journal on Policy Mobilities: www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti.... We discuss how to develop a new "meta policy" for innovation without falling into the "old wines in new labels" that so many other well-intentioned policies have fallen into.
