This weeks award for “Chairman’s Performance of the Week” goes to 1st XI captain Anthony Molloy for his all round efforts in his sides win over Lytham. Anthony hit 63 from 66 balls then took 4-40 from 12 overs as the 1sts picked up their second consecutive win. Well met, captain!

The 1st XI travel to Old Xavs for a match with huge ramifications at the bottom of the table. The 2nds will look to keep their unbeaten start to the league season rolling with a visit from P&O, while the 3rds bring down the curtain on their 2025 campaign with a trip to Liverpool.

Saturday sees the 1st, 2nd and 3rd XIs all in action, with games against Liverpool, Parkfield Liscard and Bootle. Bootle then host the ladies on Sunday with the 4th XI also taking on Sefton Park.

It’s the last Saturday in July and it is GAME DAY 🏏🏏🏏

Honourable mentions to Shaun Hornby, who took 4-44 to help the 2nds bowl out Rainhill, and 4th XI captain Neil Dutton for his 84* against Southport Trinity.

This weeks award for “Chairman’s Performance of the Week” goes to Craig Black, for almost bowling the 1s to victory on Saturday. Craig took 6-52, reducing Sefton Park to 98-7, but unfortunately they were able to reach their target for the loss of 8 wickets. Great effort, Craig!

This weeks award for “Chairman’s Performance of the Week” goes to Bill Powell for his all-round heroics for the 4th XI. Batting at 10, Bill scored a run a ball 69* in a 110 partnership with Toby Pickles, then took 3-11 including the winning wicket to help beat P+O. Well played Wild Bill!
