I just finished House of Styx 😊
Enjoyed 120k on Venus!
Aw... Thank you Brianne! You just made my evening :)
Yup. All counts are in words for me too. My longest (House of Styx) was just over 120k and my shortest (Quantum Garden) clocked in ag 90k.
lol. Deep cut to Uncanny X-Men 112!
I love watching arborists work
This i think might be the key. Or that reality is full of one-dimensional villains.
So I blazed through @clpolk.com’s ‘Even Though I Knew The End’ in a day.
Wonderful story.
Read it if you like an old time radio detective story that also includes magic.
We can ask Farrell and Jim :)
I'll be reading at Brooklyn Books & Booze on March 17, and you know I'll be drinking this!
I believe healthcare is a human right. So I'm running for the New York State Senate: www.monroegazette.com/p/yes-i-am-r...
I’ve been writing for 30 years. Earlier today, I sent @cgolden.bsky.social my latest story. He said it was one of the best things he’s ever read by me. I needed to hear that. Whether you’re a wide-eyes newbie or a jaded veteran, occasional accolades from a peer make this writer journey much easier.
Whoa. I just discovered this account. Following!
If anyone has a hankering for a fantasy spy story set in Italy in the late 1400s, the link is below. Trivia: "The God Thieves" was my third sale for qualifying for membership in @sfwa.org.
This viewpoint seems to be very strongly held.
Wow. Nice.
I’ve unmasked a white nationalist fight club in my city: Montreal.
After weeks of work (with help!), I can reveal an Olympian as a member of the Frontenac Active Club — one who, unbeknownst to the owners, brought them to a local gym for training and propaganda photos.
Here’s my investigation:
I sometimes don't realize how few original posts I do here, because the world is a disaster and I have structural edits due on my next novel in 12 days. And toddler. Always toddler. And book edits.
The fourth volume of The Quantum Evolution series will be dropping in October, from @solarisbooks.bsky.social. The series began with The Quantum Magician.
I second this "amazing editorial work." When he published a story of mine, I learned a lot about editing I continue to try to apply to this day. Also support @bcsmagazine.bsky.social and read Jason's story! :)
When someone says „Scientists do not want you to know“ you can dismiss everything from there on. Scientists want you to know. They are desperate that you know. They can’t shut up about what they found out and want you to know.
Wow. GenAI still sounds awful.
Although it's a bit beyond the decision, if there's no author there's no art either.
It is women in horror month. I am one of those and here is my gothic/horror lit collection that people said was pretty good.

Elizabeth's essay really delves into the way our culture fails to see women's voices as authoritative, important, or deeply relevant -- and why that makes it so hard for women to be as read within the horror genre.
Tonight I was at a lovely bookish event in my local town and a wonderful reader saw The Embroidered Book on my table, came to me and said "Did you write that? That is my favourite book! I thought you were, I don't know, American, I didn't know you lived here!" That right there makes it all worth it.
Interesting to see Alison Blair in that list.
This is a lovely memory :)
