real sick of the implications that being tidy and respectable do to my credibility as a crazy girl -- wallowing all day in dirty bedsheets and being vitamin-D deficient isn't my idea of self-care, okay? i'm past that; i'm an adult now.

Because after all: "Where do correct ideas come from? Do they drop from the skies? No. Are they innate in the mind? No. They come from social practice, and from it alone"

It's reasonable to worry for the future. But we're not alone. Don't give up hope, and don't stop being a bright light in the world. Keep loving, keep fighting, and keep doing what brings you and your loved ones joy. News outlets and social media censorship is trying to keep us scared and confused. The rest of the world has been protesting for the people of this country. There's solidarity for the American people having to endure and witness this vile demonstration of facism that no longer has any nuance to it. It's nothing new and a long time coming this is just perhaps the most blatant display of it yet. A lot of the world is anti-trump and anti-facism. Protests ongoing from Berlin to Mexico since the day of the inauguration. Which is inspiring and makes me feel a little more optimistic. It will probably get harder for trans people, which makes it just that much more important to stay strong and be there for each other. Now more than ever don't be afraid to reach out to others for guidance or support. We will get ourselves through this together: I'm not the most smart or eloquent in speaking about stuff like this but... Overall, all l'm saying is: I know things seem scary or grim but it's not over yet.
Don't accept defeat before it happens, and don't let them take your joy. There's moments of "awe" and wonder present everyday in spite of all the shit that's meant to bring us down. The world and people in it are too beautiful & powerful to be destroyed by greedy fascists and their puppets. Join a local org, attend a demonstration, inquire about mutual aid programs, give someone a hug, tell pplu love them, rest, breathe, etc.
And to quote some friends who's words resonate strongly with me:
"To suffer is to exist, Persist in defiance"
&
"Death before detransition"

Just some thoughts I shared elsewhere that I feel I should share here too.
