Lady Gaga - The Fame (2008)

Monolithic debut from Lady Gaga . The cultural impact of this was massive , this was the only album people were talking about at the time, even on metal forums. Almost every single song is flawless , sure to place very highly in my top 5

Still pretty cool, Licensed To Ill was definitely one of the earlier things I got my parents to buy for me , I don't know if it was the very first

Gucci Mane - Trap House (2005)

First studio album from legendary Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane. Featuring Young Jeezy , Bun B, Killer Mike, Jody Breeze, 4-Tre and Lil Scrappy. Some pretty cool tracks here but not as consistent as some of his albums and mixtapes.

when i was a youngin it was so important to me to find out whether the Elephant Six Collective were on drugs and the only meaningful answer I ever got was that Jeff was probably on X when he wrote the title track to Aeroplane

Margot & The Nuclear So and So’s - The Dust of Retreat (2006)

A strong contender featuring whimsical baroque pop on “Paper Kitten Nightmare,” and distorted, violin-led alt rock on “Quiet as a Mouse.” “Jen is Bringing the Drugs” is a memorable and vulnerable folk cut.

news is a niche special
interest, it doesn’t really get delivered to your front door anymore . i don’t really use the internet so now that i don’t have a Twitter I don’t really know about the nonsense some of the people in my family or on here are referencing , kinda like before tv existed

Thom Yorke - The Eraser (2006)

First solo effort from the Radiohead vocalist. I don’t know that it lived up to my extraordinarily high expectations , but hearing Thom in a more strictly electronic setting was cool, especially on ‘Skip Divided’ and ‘Atoms for Peace.’

La Roux - La Roux (2009)

Awesome debut from the English Synthpop duo features superbly layered electronic production on tracks like “Reflections Are Protections,” “Tigerlily.” Elly Jackson’s vocals soar on Ben Langmaid’s synth lines , played it a lot in 2009.

At the intersections of all lived experiences lies the Actuality of truth , gleamed through comparing notes from first hand sources of multiple perspectives

if you had a team
of people who could volunteer their own personal experiences that contradict your theories on the human psyche , you could fine tune your theories to be more universal and establish a new and unified school of study of the human mind . We call it The Actuality

Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More (2009)

a powerful debut from British folk band Mumford & Suns , featuring some strong hit singles in “The Cave” “Little Lion Man” and storytelling epics like “Dust Bowl Dance.” More sincere than the trends it inspired, much here to like.

i always thought Office Space was like a tv movie or straight to video or something , it never really occurred to me it had a theatrical release . I do like it a lot though , one of my favorites for whatever reason .

there’s not any particular reason i like it , it’s just really well done

Mike Jones - Who Is Mike Jones? (2005)

the debut album from Houston rapper Mike Jones on Asylum/Swishahouse , had unavoidable singles with “Back Then” and “Still Tippin” (ft. Paul Wall & Slim Thug) Also features Big Moe on “Flossin.” kind of repetitive but solid.

Self is the greatest frame of reference for not-self , for it is the thing we know most completely , the only thing we understand completely . We only understand others through the lense of the self so to be understand what see we must truly comprehend the lense . Good morning on a Wednesday
