Efficiently doped P3HT and polystyrene blend with porous 3D structure for thermoelectric applications This study describes a reproducible process for forming highly mesoporous, mechanically robust, and handleable aerogels based on entangled poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and syndiotactic polystyrene (sPS) nanofibers for thermoelectric applications. The highly porous structure results in low thermal conductivi

Tackling the reproducibility gap in perovskite research: a vision for FAIR data and standardised protocols Reproducing literature results for perovskite-based optoelectronic devices is often surprisingly difficult. Tackling the reproducibility gap in perovskite research

I saw Eva Unger present on this topic at the Horizons symposium in Berlin in 2023 - super interesting to read the Perspective in EES Solar (@ees-journals.rsc.org) with T. Jesper Jacobsson

Happy #pride month! We believe that chemistry is for everyone. In the face of opposition that threatens the progress we've made, it's never been more important for us to promote equality of opportunities and make chemistry as open, inclusive and diverse as it should be: buff.ly/1dShs0l #ChemSky

Interesting paper here in @chemicalscience.rsc.org. I was a first generation UG, as defined here. I spectacularly failed my first year & almost
got kicked out. Recognise the points about failing to adapt. After 37 years, this can still influence my outlook, not always productively. #chemsky

LGBT+ toolkit This kit provides the tools for everyone to take part in positive change: employers, colleagues, and LGBT+ individuals.

We want everyone in the chemical sciences community to feel welcome, supported and valued, so we're sad to see some people seize on yesterday's supreme court ruling with anti-trans messages. Today, we're highlighting our resources on allyship for trans colleagues and friends

A promotional image for the upcoming Chemical Science symposium, on the subject of imaging, biosensing and diagnostics.
The image shows a black background and on the right hand side is a stylised image of an unwanted cell with dendritic extensions, shown in red. It has a purple targeting reticule showing that it is being aimed at for treatment. Surrounding the red cell are a number of blue cells, conveying selective targeting.
On the left hand side of the image is text for the Royal Society of Chemistry, along with the logo of the society, which is a stylised β€œC”.
Other text states β€œChemical Science symposium, 18-19 November 2025, London, UK” and β€œSave the date”.

We are excited to announce this year’s Chemical Science symposium, on the topic of imaging, biosensing and diagnostics!

Alongside celebrating 15 years of the journal, the winner of our first Lectureship will be presenting their research!
