There’s rules and systems to make it fun, such as an “entry fee” (every player draws for the next player down the list first so nobody leaves empty handed) and I might release it at some point.

That said, I’ve been working on an idea for almost a year now that could be incredibly fun if I can actually get it started:

Gaming sketch wagers. TL;DR: 4-8 player multiplayer matches, losers draw 10 min gift art for the winner after every round, winner draws for 2nd place.

TBH I’m sick of being dependant on the handheld slop trough and I miss when the internet was fun!

Not a uniquely me sentiment, just been yearning for the way things used to be. The internet used to be cool, now it’s evil.

Decided to wait until after breakfast to pull out my phone and start scrolling today, and my agency and discipline came flooding back! For once I’m not tired or anxious! You should try it!

While the Ratchet and Jak inspirations are obvious, Akimbot absolutely stands on its own! We need more innovative 3D platformers like this!

Just finished it, and HOLY FUCK that was fun! Good third person shooter action and platforming, insane minigames and setpieces in every level, beautiful environments a bangin’ soundtrack and a fun story with charming characters!

Just started playing Akimbot. Very mixed first impressions, but when it gets going, it really hits its stride! It might be one of the most ambitious indie 3D platformers I’ve ever played!

And I am pretty happy with how far I’ve come! I have multiple artworks I look at fondly in retrospect, and that’s all that matters!

It shouldn’t have taken me 9 years to start learning this shit- I’m a slow learner and a massive slacker- but the time for self-hatred is over. The time to LOCK THE FUCK IN is now!

The agenda:

-Facial expressions
-Hair
-Arms
-Better lighting
-Exaggerated body shapes
-Angles other than 3/4
-Ref sheets to lock in more refined looks for my inconsistent OCs (Ruby and Bubblebun specifically!!!)
-Find a good brush for my art style

Also plan to learn all that other stuff I’ve been putting off. Until then, new sketches soon.
