The "Calvin and Hobbes" thing refers to the strip where Calvin thinks "Oops, it looks like she's wrapping up. Better start nodding!" To which his mom replies "Good, I'm glad we had this little talk.

It literally just stands there producing "thinking" text because, shocker, that's what it's designed to do! It eventually does the Calvin and Hobbes thing and "conclude" with a command, which means it takes a step, then repeat.

Unfortunately, the question is not "are they computer scientists" but "why did they get into computer science". If the answer is aspirational like "to make video games" or "to see why computers are everywhere", they'll probably get it; but if the answer is "because it's easy money" they won't care!

I've been thinking about Ash's hat from the first 5 seasons. Ash states he had to send 1,000,000 letters to get it (10,000 in japanese; 1,000 in spanish...it varies) so why do I draw it so much?
In my headcanon, it's sold at the pokémon league mart so anyone who's gone there can get one (1/4)
