I've been watching what's happening in Minneapolis and I don't know what to say. Two American citizens killed by ICE in three weeks. Countless more who are not citizens. People afraid to leave their homes.

For those of us not living in Minnesota, are some things we can actually do:

they're executing moms and nurses in the street. they're using preschoolers as bait. they're stealing people's dads and grandmas and children. they're tear gassing babies. they're staking out schools. there is no remedy but abolition. any proposal that doesn't start there is an act of violence.

The CEO of Bluesky is craven and evil. The only people that build these platforms are infected with the self-reproducing moral rot of capitalism. They have no sense of duty or stewardship. They see their monetary reward as a cleansing justification for their actions.

If you're a freelancer, record your work hours, you'll be able to track your effective hourly rate. People exploiting artists bank on your labor being ambiguous and hard to measure. Hourly rates are measurable. Don't work for bad pay

I am an adherent to the philosophy that all the best artists are perverts in some way, if not openly then privately. What is perversion if not having unchecked passion, the same passion that fuels artistry.

I'll definitely have to paint outside for oil paints since I don't have a real indoor studio. Weather willing 😭 it's been extremely rainy recently and I'm over it. The paints took days to dry here which I'm thrilled about. I hate how quick acrylic paints dry even using blending gel.
