Despite good story moments & foundations laid for the #JRPG genre, #FinalFantasyII was ultimately a disappointing #RPG with a broken spell system & very repetitive gameplay. This #FinalFantasy entry doesn't hold up well today, but that might be expected given its age.

Found the first ever #chocobo in #FinalFantasy history while playing #FinalFantasyII from 1988. It already had its well-known world map function of preventing the triggering of random battles.
