Socialism also incorporates social programs. I'm not going to argue semantics with you. European countries have them and the United States doesn't. That's the bottom line. Your capitalist system sucks in comparison.

While they aren't fully socialist, a lot of European countries incorporate many social programs and safety nets that are socialist in nature. The United States has never had these programs such as universal health care, free education, paid parental leave, etc. No need to play with semantics.

One other thing that's changed for the better in most of Europe is that they've largely dropped religions in favor of reason. Religion is just another tool used by rulers to keep ordinary people ignorant and stop them from questioning the people in power. Trump and Republicans still use it.
