If you're in Sudbury, come out to the Doran Planetarium at Laurentian U on Thursday at 7PM to hear Madhur Anand read from her latest novel To Place a Rabbit. It's one of the most thought-provoking and unique books I've ever read, and I'm stoked that I get to ask her about it on stage!

If you haven’t read Moon of the Turning Leaves yet, please do. It is the follow up to Moon of the Crusted Snow & @waub.bsky.social has gifted us a deeply moving & beautiful story filled with love, trust & resilience (+ a few moments of deep grief) within his words. A true balm for my weary heart 💙📚

It was a real treat to have @waub.bsky.social on the pod this week. As an author I admire, his insights meant a lot and he may have even convinced me to try my hand at fiction one day. Catch it on Eastlink or listen below.

My only complaint about hearing “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” a million times this past week is being repeatedly subjected to Gordon Lightfoot’s butchering of “gichi gami”. He clearly didn’t have a Anishinaabemowin speaker nearby during songwriting!
