Having proper words to describe it helps so much in being able to seek that out from others, more than like, individual kinks and all that. Until then I kinda just felt like I kinda enjoyed some specific kink things, but didn't really correctly fit into either a dom or sub role.

Strange vibes for a lot of the media surrounding it really. It had no idea what it wanted to do.

The climax scene with the gorilla and the lasers and the lava was pretty batshit though and I did think that was hilarious lol

and there was also a moment where they VERY BLATANTLY threw some birds into the shot to fly by the actors. You could see the stagehand's arm lmao

The effects were good though! I can't really fault any of the effects, puppets/costuming, sets, or shots, it was all very technically impressive for 95! But yeah the story just kinda sucked and was boring lol

Not as racist as I was expecting a movie set in Africa made in 95 to be, at least.

They definitely wanted this to be the next Jurassic Park, for sure, hence the absolutely wild cast. But the main characters were completely forgettable, Tim Curry didn't really get to Tim Curry too much, and Ernie Hudson was the only likable character. And Joe Don Baker was hilarious.

Tonight for our Movie Monday, we watched Congo!

It was a weird one! Definitely not terrible. Plot felt like it really had no idea what it wanted to do and ended up a bit dull and tension-less as a result. Had some gorey bits, yet also weird family friendly vibes? Dunno.
