All charges brought against protesters at Broadview today must be dropped. When cops and agents attack crowds without provocation, they make shit up to justify their attacks (in his case, an attack waged on a cooperative crowd to produce fascist social media content). These charges must be dropped.

In addition to unloading on demonstrators in Broadview, ICE is now randomly gassing people going about their day on the streets of Chicago

Tattooed arm of ERO (ICE) agent. Forearm band closely resembles a thin blue line

If you're in the Chicago area and you recognize these tattoos, please shoot us a message. Thanks! 🩷

Hi and welcome to the latest surge in new followers! You're probably here because of protest coverage. Or maybe a skeet that made you mad.

What to know: we are two indie journalists who report primarily on awful guys ™️. We are also fighting to make reader-supported investigative reporting tenable.

Two black-clad women sit before microphones. One (Torrey Peters) reads from a book entitled STAG DANCE. The other (Lilly Wachowski) chuckles appreciatively.

“In fiction, unspeakable things are defanged.”

Fragment from a delightful evening with Torrey Peters and Lilly Wachowski. 💉❤️‍🔥

A green banner with text that reads END GENOCIDE IN GAZA. In the foreground a hand holds a patio of goodies including dolmas, homemade hummus & baba ganoush, and flatbreads.

Once house parties were for punk shows. Now they’re for Palestine Legal fundraisers 🇵🇸

Yesterday’s excess of coffee + news meant I didn’t sleep much last night. On the plus side I’m at the top of my lorem ipsum game

The postal service is under attack, and we need to defend it. Join letter carriers at protests across the country to fight back against DOGE and Elon’s attempts to privatize and destroy the USPS.

Four library books fanned out on an old-fashioned radiator. The titles are:

Creation Lake by Rachel Kushner
Trust Exercise by Susan Choi
What You Make of Me by Sophie Madeline Dess
One Day, Everyone Will Have Been Against This by Omar El Akkad

Welp, still no Torrey Peters or Karen Russell, but a solid haul nevertheless.
