I did scrapped one character for my WIP; I originally gave the Fairy Queen a daughter, who becomes Bethany's ally.

I reimagined her as Diane, Beth's other love interest.

What inspired the daughter being scrapped? Beth's bisexuality (it wasn't in the original plan)

There are lots of lies and rumors in my Oracle of Delphi series WIP, since it covers roughly 2000 years of ancient Greek history, and many of the most well-known events were directly impacted by the oracles spoken by the Pythia.

Another fungi unique to the Nequinum world is the Pookie Morel; with its bright teal colored honeycombed cap & reddish-purple stipe. Grows in late spring, hunted in summer. When eaten raw, it causes pleasant relaxation, relieving stress.

Nequinum has a deadly fungi called Madcap; with a dark-orange cap covered in moldy green spots, a sickly gray brittle stipe, & a bittersweet odor. Consuming Madcaps cause violent behavior & nightmarish hallucinations.

The Wemmick townsfolk strongly suspect the MC (Bethany) to be illegitimate because of her red hair; that either parent cheated with someone else; & that Beth murdered her family on the day of their annual summer picnic.

Some of my other inspirations, especially for my MC (Bethany), are Anastasia Romanoff, Anne Shirley, Bastian Balthazar Bux, and Little Orphan Annie (particularly her Irish ancestry)
