I stocked up on coffee in Dec and Jan. It was about $13. Yesterday, it was $20. Charcoal pellets were about 12 last summer. They are 17 now. And on and on. Plus shrinkflation.

I managed restaurants for 20+ yrs. A server making 32K a year isnt really helped or hurt by no tax on tips. They did it so sneakily and it means nothing in the grand scheme of tax liability. They are at risk of losing their insurance , SNAP, earned income credit , and so much more with this
