In #Glasgow this morning at half eight it's a dull white overcast sky and 6.5°. Sunday 15th March.

5.4° at 10 o' clock this Saturday morning 15th March here in sunny #Glasgow. Nice to see a blue sky again and on a weekend too. Back of the net.

Whatever happened to Stereo MCs? And didn't they have a flute?

Whatever happened to the Spin Doctors? They were so good! Slappy drums, raw guitar, great bass, bonkers singer. Oh well

I really had high hopes for Vukovi, but what happened?

We all know that weegies are resilient, but when Argyle Street and George Square are upturned, and Sauchiehall Street is so bereft, it feels like this is a low point. We need to dig deep. Is it the SNP? Most would say yes. But it's more than just that political crap. Sigh.

What a funny night out in #Glasgow. Funny how that in Union Street building meant so much. I had no idea. Who knew?

It's just music. It's possible to like all sorts of music. Music speaks to you. You can't help it. It's not politics or religion or class or whatever get

Good morning! Friday the 13th (!) of March. It's just 2.6° here in overcast #Glasgow. At least it's not raining and the wind has calmed down from yesterday's bluster. Enjoy!

I've thought about this. And now I remember that it's not about wealth at all. That's just phone book numbers. Meaningless. What matters is poverty. They aren't connected. The wealthy don't take from the poor. But we still need to tackle poverty

Why?

I agree that there is a move away from arts in education, it's been devalued so much in the last decade, no one wants a silly degree...it's all about opportunities for work, what's best for a career. I agree that people don't even want to explore opera to see if they might like it. 😔

Interesting! However, it comes down to one Billionaire's whim. So not gonna happen I'm afraid. It is still, however, almost immoral to be too wealthy imo!

So you think the working class is killing opera and ballet?

Exactly. If it's no skin off their nose, why don't they feel the moral imperative to encourage others to become like them?

That's untrue imo. My little girl did ballet, like so many little girls from an inner city (and Glasgow at that). We're not "upper class" by any stretch of the imagination. Wife sings in choirs. I sing opera in the shower. We go to the opera. We even go to the pictures to watch live opera broadcasts

Surely, there's little real difference between a billion and two billion. a multi-billionaire could transfer off wealth or cash-out life-changing funds to others. Apparently a 100K investment is the point where a person stops worrying about money. How many could be topped up to that I wonder

At half past seven this Thursday morning (12 Mar) in #Glasgow it's gone up to 9.1°, Another damp overcast city scene outside. Yesterday was weirdly sunshine, high wind and heavy rain in bouts, so anything can happen today. Have a good one!

Hump day. 11th March. At half seven this morning it's 6.9° in #Glasgow and overcast. It's not raining but the yellow bin lorries are out and about being noisy and blocking traffic. It poured down most of yesterday btw. Today looks like it's going to be much the same. Oh well.

Shadows Playing Tricks On Us (10 Photos) These pieces don't just sit on walls, they wait for the sun. From lace-like sunlight in Slovakia to floating butterflies in Minnesota and a horse rising out of a painted pool in Germany, these artists know exactly how to use shadows, shading, and illusion to make ordinary surfaces lie to us. Here are 10 pieces that prove shadows might be the sneakiest street art collaborators of all!

I suppose people feel they have a right to fret online and to protest on the street. While it does no good, I think many do all that instead of taking care of business, neglecting what really matters. Others virtue signal, or feel moral superiority via religion, or socially bond through it
