Frisk: Bah… (Frisk stays in silence for a while, then gives a relieved smile) Frisk: I… I just want to repay my debt with everyone… Having you here now made that effort worth it. (Asriel holds his half of the red soul) Asriel: And I’ll never be able to thank you enough. You saved my life, Frisk. Frisk: You can say that after we solve everything with your parents (Frisk holds Asriel shoulder and they proceed to the elevator room) Frisk: so, are we finished here? (They turn around at Gerson, who broke his cane trying to release MK from the box. Mettaton: But… he left you… Right after he told you he would stay with you! How can you not hate him?! (Napstablook seems a bit surprised hearing MTT. They regain composture, and answer without hesitation) Naptstablook: I could never hate any of them. They’re my family, I love them. And they love me, too. Mettaton: That they love you…? (Mettaton's feelings cross. He starts getting a bit angry and raising his voice, unbelieving his cousing should be so indulcing with him). Mettaton: I’m sorry Napstablook, but they did leave you behind. They hurt you! Because they only cared about themselves! They don’t deserve your forgiveness!!! Naptstablook: But there’s nothing to forgive... At first, I thought I was the problem, but I wasn’t thinking clearly because of how I felt at that moment… I *do* know why they did it now… (Napstablook turns to look at Frisk) Naptstablook: Oh… that’s right… Human (sorry I forgot your name again), you called me “Blooky” earlier…? (Frisk looks satisfied that Blooky noticed this) Frisk: I did! That’s how your cousin called you, right? Naptstablook: Yes… it’s my nickname in the family… (Frisk looks confident, expecting what Blooky will ask them next) Frisk: …And how do you think I know that nickname? Naptstablook: Because you illegally raided my cousin’s house and read their diaries… (Frisk confidence breaks down, as Blooky took the conversation in a direction different from what they expected) Frisk: Uh, w-well, yes, but- wait you saw me doing that…? (Blooky gives a small, shy smile) Naptstablook: Well… because I did the same… a few days after my cousin left, I entered their home… Mettaton: How could you enter if it was lo-?!, I-I mean, didn’t your cousin lock the door…? Naptstablook: I went through the wall… Mettaton: A-ah, of course… (inner monologue) I’ve gotten too used to being physical matter… (We see Blooky flipping through the pages of the diaries, looking shocked) Naptstablook: I know I didn't respect their privacy, but… I missed them a lot… I felt the urge to read those diaries… That’s how I found out… my cousin did want a body as well… but they dreamed of one they thought they could never get… Back when we worked together, they usually looked frustrated. Now I know it wasn’t about me, or the farm… it was them. They weren’t happy at all with their ghost form. They didn’t feel like themselves, but they couldn’t do anything about it either… I realized I had been selfish… my cousins only left because they wanted to fulfill their dreams… But they all knew I would feel sad about it… my third cousin probably endured their frustration for so long because of me… I was putting them under pressure without knowing… that’s why I think they don’t want to see me again… They could feel guilty for leaving, and I don’t want them to feel bad for that… (Mettaton still looks down. He's glad Blooky could understand his feelings, but he still can't stop blaming himself.) Mettaton: But… still! You just wanted to be with them… At least, he could have told you he was leaving-!

Naptstablook: It's fine… Their dreams shouldn’t have waited that long… I don’t blame them for not telling me, I might not have been that brave either… And, w-well… (Napstablook gives another shy smile) Napstablook: It was actually because of them that I decided to spend more time on my music… My cousins were finally free to pursue their goals, so I decided to do so as well…! I wanted to be a composer… And I guess… I guess I finally did it… I have the honor of working in your show, Mettaton… You inspired me to get here, just like my cousins did… So, wherever they are, all of us are happy now… (Mettaton is left speechless, we don't get to see his full face. Asriel then breaks the silence) Asriel: Umm… Napstablook…? Are you ok…? (We turn around to see Napstablook doing a funny face, bewteen happy tears) Naptstablook: Oh, sorry… I thought that since my cousins and I have all reached our objectives, I shouldn’t be so melancholic… So, I’m trying to smile… but my ghostly tears won't stop falling so it’s not really working… huh…?! (Napstablook turns and sees Mettaton weeping and sobbing in a funny way) Naptstablook: D-did I do something wrong…?

(Mettaton rushes to give them a hug, making Blooky's headphones fall) Mettaton: YOU’VE NEVER DONE ANYTHING WRONG, YOU STUPID FLOATING PILE OF ECTOPLASM!!! *SOB* I SWEAR I’LL NEVER LEAVE YOU ALONE AGAAAIN!!! *weeping* Naptstablook: …ok? (Frisk and Asriel look at them happy, as Mettaton continues his intense robotic weeping) Asriel: You’re amazing, Frisk Frisk: Huh, what’s with the random compliments? Asriel: After all you’ve been through, you’re still giving your best to help people. We’re lucky you ended up in the Underground

We see different flashbacks of Napstablook, starting with a scene of them and their 3 cousins opening the snail farm and moving to their new houses. Naptstablook: Well… the four of us started to work on the farm. It was our first job… One day, one of my cousins decided to get a body. A training dummy, I think… So they told us they were leaving the farm to search for one at the old ruins… (We see a green ghost finding a training dummy at the ruins) Naptstablook: My second cousin joined them soon after… They wanted a body to work with the Captain of the Royal Guard. They were always a bit grumpy, and they didn’t really like working at the farm either… I guess I was the only one who actually liked it… (We see the transformation of NBs cousing into Mad Dummy, and eventually into Mad Mew Mew) Naptstablook: Finally, my third cousin left as well… They didn’t talk about it like the others, though… they just left one day… (We see a flashback of Napstablook with a rake, left alone)

(We're back in the present, at the CORE's stage.) Napstablook: And… that would be it. I became the last worker at the farm. I haven’t seen my cousins since then… Sometimes I wonder where they are now, and how do they look… but if I’m honest, I feel like they don’t want to see me again… (Mettaton looks away, feeling ashamed) Frisk: But they just wanted to get new bodies, right? Why would they not want to see you? Naptstablook: After they left, I started to think that their problem wasn’t the farm… but me… When our second cousin went away, I felt sad… I started to think I could end up alone… Because of that, I even asked my third cousin if they planned to get a body as well… They didn’t say, but they promised that they would not abandon me… (As Mettaton hears Blooky speak, his face goes pale. Their words feel like a stab to the chest. After a brief silence, he speaks) Mettaton: I… I'm so sorry to hear, darling. I can’t imagine how much you’ve suffered because of such… such a terrible relative… (Napstablook stares in silence for a bit, then suddenly...) Napstablook: Oh!!! Oh no…! D-Did I make it sound like that? I’m sorry…! My cousin wasn’t a bad person at all! (Mettaton's eyes open wide)

Oil, of course) Naptstablook: (looking down to the side) Ah, yes… The Blook Family Snail Farm has a rich history… I can tell you anything about that… if you want… Frisk: I do! So, is it you who runs the whole farm? (Background sequence of Gerson trying to pull MK out the box with his cane.) Naptstablook: Yes… Well… I do now… At first, I worked alongside my cousins… Our relatives at the Capital left us the farm in inheritance… Frisk: Is that so? So what happened with your cou-? Mettaton: (shutting their lips, irritated) My, Frisk, that’s a bit PERSONAL, you know? I’m sure Napstablook’s a bit UNCOMFORTABLE talking about it! Naptstablook: Oh, don’t worry… I don’t mind telling the story… Mettaton: (!) W-well darling, i-if that’s the case… floor’s all yours…! Hehe! Heh… (Mettaton let's go of Frisk) Frisk: *COOOOUUUGH*

Mettaton: I mean, they’re finally making their dreams come true! They’re letting the past go, and now I’m just coming back to reopen their wounds?! Asriel: (!) (Asriel is triggered by MTT's words) M: *sigh…* What on earth was I thinking when I asked them to work with me? I should have never talked to them again… Blooky would be better off… if I just disappeared from their life (Through the darkness, Asriel's soul appears. He opens the ACT menu).

(Asriel hugs Mettaton out of sympathy) Mettaton: (!?) Asriel: *sob* Mettaton: Your highness…? (Asriel begins to cry) Asriel: That’s not true…! You don’t have to disappear…! there’s no way your cousin would want that! You’re just scared of how they’ll react! (Frisk looking sad at them) Asriel: I… I know that fear too… But no matter how terrified we may be, they deserve to know the truth! They’re still family… And even if it hurts, we need to do it!

Asriel: Even if you’re afraid, you can only end the pain if you talk to them! So please, don’t say you have to disappear! (Mettaton smiles in sympathy) Mettaton: Hey, come on now, darling… That weepy face doesn’t suit you at all (Frisk looks happy. Then they get determined face and moves) Asriel: (Walks back) I-I’m sorry… I know this is between you and your cousin… I shouldn’t tell you what to do… Mettaton: Don’t be, darling. Your improvisation has managed to stop my lame act of drama! Thank you so much. And worry not, when time comes, I’ll talk with Blooky. It won’t be easy, but I’ll make sure they-

Frisk: YO, BLOOKY! Mettaton: HjYAjsHsdsfbHJ?!?1!11 (They all startle and look at Frisk. Gerson wakes up but doesn’t care) Mettaton: FRISK WHAT THE HOTLAND DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?! Frisk: Help you solve this now, that’s what I’m doing Mettaton: BUT IT’S MY RESPONSIBILITY TO-! Naptstablook: I-is something wrong…? Mettaton: N-nothing, Bl-, cou-, I-I MEAN d-darling!! Frisk just needed some help but I can take care of it myself, so-! Naptstablook: Oh… m-maybe I’m not up to the job…? Mettaton: NO! you’re doing great, darling! It’s just- Naptstablook: If I’m not being useful you can tell me… Mettaton: I swear that’s not the case! (Mettaton rushes to close the box with an awkward smile) Mettaton: W-well, worry not, I’ll handle this myself! Shyren, sweetheart! How are you doing over there? Shyren: glbgblgbl… (She's trying to grab a small box with her fins. It's not working) Mettaton: A-ah, yes, neither could you- *...sigh*(inner monologue): not my brightest idea… (Mettaton turns around to our group) Mettaton: Umm, Frisk…? I’m SO sorry to bother you sweetie, but since I let you come through the CORE… could you do me the BIG favor of giving us a hand with this? Gerson: I can do ME the big favor of sitting down. I need a rest after all this walk. MK: Maaan, we gonna have to clean this place…? Mettaton: I will… uhh… …give you an autograph! MK: (Grabs the autograph with his mouth and runs to the boxes) I’M ON IT!!! Frisk: …We’ll do it for free Mettaton: Thanks, darling!

(After a while, everyone's cleaning the stage while Gerson sleeps in the corner. Frisk is sweeping the floor when they turn around at MTT) Frisk: So, Mettaton? Mettaton: Yes, darling? I’m all ears! Frisk: I was wondering… you ARE going to tell Napstablook, right? Mettaton: …Tell them what, exactly? Frisk: You know… who you are to them? Mettaton: I’m… afraid I don’t quite follow you, Frisk…! (Frisk gives an awkward silence) Frisk: Dude. I’m talking about telling them you’re their cousi- Mettaton: (!) (Extends his arm to quickly shut their mouth) Frisk: MMFGRHRHH!!! (Mettaton grabs Frisk and Asriel, who happened to be listening, and uses a jet on his back to quickly hide with them behind a container. Napstablook hears something behing them, but when they turn around, MTT is already out of sight.)

(While we view MTT, Asriel and Frisk behind the container, we also get a glimpse of MK and Blooky trying to close a box in the background, realizing none of them have arms. Frisk gets Mettaton's hand off their mouth.) Frisk: *COUGH COUGH COUGH* Mettaton: SHhH!!! Keep it quiet! (Mettaton lets go of them and starts questioning Frisk, visually tense.) Mettaton: H-how did you find out…?! Frisk: Well it's kinda obvious, you know? Like, how you always avoid calling them “Blooky” like you did in your diaries? Mettaton: What the- You’ve read my diaries?! Frisk: H-hey, wasn’t my fault if they were all over your house’s floor! Mettaton: You’ve been in MY HOUSE?! Frisk: W-well I happened to buy the key on this sale in the back alley and- Mettaton: MY KEY WAS ON SALE?!?! Asriel: F-frisk, you’re not fixing it… (Mk tries to close the box by pushing it, but its rusty and won't move) Mettaton: Ugh, forget it! i-it’s… it’s true. Blooky and I are cousins, but… I can’t let them know it’s me… Not yet. Asriel: But why… ? Do you not get along? Mettaton: No! No, It’s not like that at all! it’s just… it’s complicated.

(MK gives the box a big headbutt. They manage to close it, but they trip and end up trapped inside the box. Blooky tries to help them, but they have no arms.) Mettaton: You see, I... *sigh* I distanced myself from them to get my robotic body. I wasn’t brave enough to say goodbye. I thought it would be less painful than trying to explain it to them… but I should have known that wasn’t the right thing to do… (We get a flashback to the battle between MTT and Frisk, when Napstablook called during the show.) Mettaton: After that, we never met as cousins again. The next time I heard their voice, they were talking to "the star of the Underground". I’m just Mettaton for them now. Frisk: But still… don’t you think Blooky has the right to know the truth? Mettaton: I want them to know the truth, but…! (Mettaton covers his face with his arms and slides down the wall to sit down) *sigh* How am I supposed to tell them? They probably felt so lonely all this time… because of my selfishness…!

Naptstablook: No… Maybe I should ask Captain Undyne to start an investigation... (Monster Kid and Frisk looking away nervously. Asriel looks at them with a poker face, knowing the truth) Mettaton: Aaanyways, how are we doing with the equipment? Naptstablook: Oh… I was about to pack up the mixing table… Mettaton: That’s great, darling! Is it the last box?
