House Republicans are spreading misinformation about clean energy for their own political benefit — shocker. So let's get the facts straight: their energy agenda would roll back progress and increase rates for Michiganders when all people really want is breathing room.
Yeah, that tracks.
Prices were already high, and now Trump's war on Iran is sending oil and gas costs through the roof. Those inflated prices have a way of showing up everywhere, from groceries to goods, at a time when hardworking families need a break.
Hey, Republicans, because you can't read the room, we'll spell it out for you....
Across Michigan, people are now paying significantly more per gallon of gas than they were last week. This surge is due to the latest of Trump's decisions that negatively impact Michiganders. We deserve better leadership.
While House Republicans are hellbent on saying whatever President Trump tells them to, the data doesn't lie. Tariffs are hurting our economy, and we're losing jobs at an increased rate.
Safe, affordable housing is the foundation of strong communities. But too many Michigan families are struggling to find a place they can actually afford. Everyone deserves a stable home and a fair shot to put down roots where they live and work.
More people are feeling strapped for cash. From keeping everyone fed to keeping up with bills, folks are struggling. Trump and Republicans can wish away economic concerns all they want, but that doesn't make it a fact.
Michiganders' budgets are bearing the burden of higher energy prices, poor jobs numbers and falling stocks. Michiganders can't afford the instability coming down from D.C. https://yhoo.it/4rVPFWw
It's really that simple: free breakfast and lunch for our students is a non-negotiable. This National School Breakfast Week, we're calling on our Republican colleagues in the House to join us in our efforts.
Democrats are focused on making life more sustainable for people who are just trying to get by. Trump and his Republicans, on the other hand, are funding a war no one asked for on the backs of everyday Michiganders who want affordable health care, groceries, utilities and gas.
House Dems passed commonsense gun legislation to ensure our neighborhoods and communities are safe from senseless #GunViolence. House Republicans want to allow folks to carry concealed guns without a permit. We are not the same.
Here's the facts: Michigan is second to only one other state when it comes to election integrity. We thought it was facts over feelings, no?
Couldn't agree more!
Trump wants war. Michiganders want affordable utilities, health care and groceries. The consequences of Republicans' actions are driving up gas and energy prices, leading to even more things folks can't afford.
Happy Holi! May this year's festival of colors bring you fresh beginnings.
Detroit has been named as one of the must-see places in the Midwest; however, amid chaos with Trump's political games and the tensions surrounding the Gordie Howe Bridge, our city's wellbeing is being threatened. https://bit.ly/4rUX8FC
Trump and out-of-touch Republicans are living in a bubble. If the economy is doing so well, as they say, why are average Michiganders still struggling to put food on the table and pay their bills?
Women’s History Month is a time to celebrate the contributions women make today and made throughout history. Join me in celebrating the power and resilience of women who break barriers, uplift their communities, drive industries and beyond.

Michiganders are still feeling the pinch of higher prices at the grocery store, pharmacy and in their rent checks, no matter how many times Trump claims everything is great. When Republican leaders are this out of touch, families are the ones left paying the price.
When rent rises faster than paychecks, families feel the squeeze. Stable, affordable housing means stronger communities, flourishing economies and peace of mind because everyone deserves a place to call home.
Tourism tanks, businesses hurt — Trump's political battles are directly affecting Michigan's economy. https://bit.ly/3OGOE62
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer delivered her final State of the State address last night. I had the privilege of attending alongside newly elected President of the Detroit City Council, James E. Tate Jr. as well as James White, CEO of DWIHN & Redford Charter Township Supervisor Pat McRae.

It was my honor to be joined by Muskegon County Commissioner Jessica Cook and Brianna Scott, Chair of the MSU Board of Trustees, at the Governor’s last State of the State. This was a chance to reflect on all we have accomplished, all the work yet to be done, and where we are heading.
I joined by IBEW 352 Business Manager, Steve Perry, to listen to the Governor’s address as she focused her priorities for the year on literacy, housing affordability, and healthcare accessibility. During a time of economic uncertainty, we have a responsibility to provide relief to Michigan families.
Governor Whitmer outlined an agenda that puts Michigan workers and tamilies first, and I will continue to work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to accomplish these goals. I look forward to working with our unions to ensure every Michigan worker can succeed in our great state.
