It is like saying the economy is strong because of the stock market, while folks can’t afford groceries.

Minneapolis has a $1.9B budget, and 100 days from now, we choose our next mayor. Starting today, I’m sharing one video per day about what I’ll do in my first 100 days in office. Here’s Day 1 of 100.

Hit the Northeast Farmers Market this weekend. Good food, good people, and a lot of local flavor. Always a great way to spend a Saturday in Minneapolis.

I visited the Pillsbury Creative Commons for its opening celebration. It is a powerful reminder of what happens when we invest in creativity and community. Minneapolis needs more spaces like this to grow, connect, and thrive.

For every 5 people leaving the trades, only 2 are entering. That puts Minneapolis at risk when it comes to housing, infrastructure, and good-paying jobs. My tour of LIUNA showed how we can connect our youth to these essential careers.

Brought the family to the Ward 11 picnic last night, great to be back at the same park where I played Little League football as a kid. We used to face Purple Pearl here… and they always beat us. I haven’t forgotten. 😅 Grateful for this community.

I’m disappointed our current administration hasn’t corrected the decision to let the officer who killed Amir Locke train others on use of force. If we truly have the most diverse and staffed force in years, surely we can find someone better. Minneapolis deserves accountability to rebuild trust.
