This isn't what Arizona voters want.

A recent poll found that 65% of voters, across parties, support keeping the current deadline.

This bill directly goes against the will of the people.

The bill eliminates ALL polling places as ballot drop-off locations and allows only "designated voting locations", with no guarantee that every community will have one.

Some voters could face 200+ mile round-trips just to drop off a ballot.

📭SB 1001 cuts 3 days off the early ballot return window.

This means fewer days for voters to return their ballots, which will disproportionately impact voters in rural and Tribal communities, where mail already takes much longer to arrive.

If you thought it couldn't get worse, it does.

This bill directly targets Ohio's citizen-led ballot initiative process by placing petition committee members and petition circulators in legal jeopardy.

And it creates new ways for bad actors to invalidate petitions and signatures.

This bill bans ALL drop boxes, even the ones outside of your county's Board of Elections.

This would create unnecessarily long lines for ballot returns and ignore voters who need to return ballots at odd hours due to work, school, or child care.

This bill would require "documentary proof of citizenship" that would make voter registration harder:

❌Many Ohioans would only be able to register to vote in person
❌Less people would be able to access Ohio's online voter reg system
❌Hosting voter reg drives would be harder

🚨Legislators in Ohio are trying to pass their own version of the SAVE Act. If it's passed, it could potentially stop tens of thousands of eligible Ohioans from voting.
