Earlier today, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of same-sex marriage by declining to hear a challenge to Obergefell v. Hodges.

The landmark decision securing marriage equality will stay intact, meaning our freedom to marry remains the law of the land.

Let’s be clear: Power belongs to the people.

Floridians joined voices across the nation to protest the Trump administration’s abuse of power.

With our committed legal observers and fearless organizers on the ground, we stood with communities — demanding justice.

Gerrymandering isn't just unconstitutional — it's a direct abuse of power. Daytona Beach voters deserve an equal opportunity to be represented and heard.

We’re taking to the streets across the nation on October 18 to peacefully protest the Trump administration’s abuse of power.

6. Also note, police cannot search your phone without a warrant.

5. If you get stopped by any law enforcement at a protest, you have the right to remain silent or tell them that you’ll only answer questions in the presence of an attorney — no matter your citizenship or immigration status.

4. If you get arrested, you have the right to ask why. Otherwise, say you wish to remain silent and ask for a lawyer immediately. Don’t sign, say, or agree to anything without a lawyer present.

3. If you get stopped by police, ask if you’re free to go. If they say yes, calmly walk away.

On Friday, we came together to celebrate seven decades of standing for freedom, justice, and equality in Florida. We gathered in a city that has always led with a will to dare: Jacksonville, FL.

We were honored to recognize true champions of courage and leadership:

Today we celebrate Indigenous Peoples — their histories, cultures, and enduring contributions that continue to shape this land.

We honor their resilience and the continued fight for justice — not that other guy.

This follows similar erasures in Orlando, Tampa, and other cities across Florida. Using taxpayer dollars to erase the visibility of LGBTQ+ Floridians — especially during LGBTQ+ History Month — is both shameful and unnecessary.
