While the AI voices are a bummer...the core game is really fun, map design is great, and the proximity chat makes for a really fun dynamic. Been utterly shocked at how friendly/wholesome the community has been so far while playing solo.

Really just feels like the guy isn't allowed to play defense. Getting a rookie whistle.

Could someone explain why TP is routinely on an island "defending" Brunson when Rollins is on the court?

I really feel like once they handed the game off to The Chinese Room, they should have changed the name, but I know that's not how video game publishers work.

He's been sneaky good in preseason leading the 2nd unit. Still a bit too small defensively, but he works and just does stuff.

The issue is that Shams ran with the language that Beasley and Rozier were no longer "targets" of the investigation, and conflated that with them being "cleared", when that is extremely not what that means. Because Shams is a clown with no actual journalistic skills.

I thought it was fun the first handful of attempts. After my 10th death at the 3rd gauntlet, I was no longer having fun (I fucking hate conchflies)

Boss fight ended up being pretty chill compared the absolute meanness that preceded it. Team Cherry chose violence with those gauntlet fights, easily the most frustrating part of the game for me.

That fucking runback/gauntlet/boss was one of two times I wanted to fly to Adelaide to get some answers in-person from those fuckers. (The other is on Act 3)

I haven't been a fan of Doris (feel like she has the usual issue of many national analysts, they don't *really* watch more than a few teams regularly), but by far the biggest issue was RJ. Would have much rather they replaced him with Legler instead of Doris.

It seems to me like this is pretty close to a market rate for a very good two-way forward who is just below All-Star level given how in demand "good shooter who defends multiple positions competently" is as a skill set?

I dumped probably 90+ hours into the game just doing solo stuff and building up my base. Eventually lost steam when I hit the endgame, not much there if you aren't in a big guild, but I had a ton of fun. Will probably start from scratch on a new server soon that some friends started on.

Unfortunately, the Blogfather has thrown cold water on the Bucks getting any benefit from this (except for owners saving on potential luxury tax payments if they go up into the tax again in 2026-2027).

That was the thing that stuck out last year at summer league. Dude can always get to a spot. An open mid-ranger, in the paint, some kind of decent quality shot. But whatever happens next is usually an adventure.

Yeah, I think I might be done with the AJax experiment. Between the terrible on/off numbers last year and the difference in effort between him and Livingston in summer league, I'm not seeing good reasons to keep him around.

It's a different game, but I think it also speaks to why Sea of Thieves is still going strong. Yes, there's progression, but everyone has access to the same toolset. All progression is cosmetic. You can hop on after not playing it for months and still do everything in the game.

I left the movie theater thinking "holy shit, that was amazing" only to hear the dude in front of me go "well, that was the worst movie I ever saw". I can't think of a more divisive movie.

So many of the national media takes around the Bucks seem to boil down to "just give up!" As if there's more than a 1% chance any of the draft picks the Bucks could get by trading Giannis ever ends up being close to the caliber of player he is.

I feel like there seems to be a common thought that "let's try to be as good as we can be, even if we're not top contenders, because shit happens, and we still will have the best player in most playoff series" is a bad philosophy.
