I went through this with Leeloo. $500 emergency vet manually extracted in the back room and tge yowls she made were quite something. I swore next time I’d save the money and do the extraction myself. (There wasn’t a next time.)

In a product forum thread about a desperately missing piece of functionality, someone says “Come on, you can add AI but you can’t fix this?”
And that is really it in a nutshell isn’t it? I’m seeing the same with my work. Ignore much needed fixes to develop half-baked unasked-for Gen AI integration.

This will all go to the folks whose job this ACTUALLY is, who I assume will re-edit all over again. Probably using - you guessed it- gen AI. Since all businesses are now owned by Business Idiots insisted we use it.
Why even have websites? Just have endless screaming instead.
So the product owner finally reviewed the copy. THEY fed the content I wrote BACK into AI and re-edited it AGAIN, I assume with a prompt to add what they were looking for.
If I actually wrote any of the content by hand, I'd be livid right now.
A story about AI: I was charged with writing content for a new webpage at work. Not my job description, and we DO have people for that, but ok. Since I'd rather be doing, you know, my actual JOB, I fed Copilot some stream of consciousness and had it edit with a marketing slant.
I live in a province with high taxes. I barely see half my salary in each pay cheque, the rest is tax.
If we taxed the extremely wealthy at the rate I pay, and prevented them from hiding their wealth away, literally every problem could be solved.

b) has very short legs compared to its body
