A city block showing Koto Sushi Bar and a vacant restaurant, a white man in a grey hoodie and black basketball shorts leans against a windowsill outside cutting his toenails.

When I was working in downtown Nashville way back in 2011, I saw a man clipping his toenails in front of a sushi bar. I heard it before I saw it. Life is a rich tapestry.

I went to this Joann's with my mom a few years ago to take a crochet class, and we were both terrible at it, really bad. While walking through the parking lot at the end, my mom said, "You know what? Fuck crochet."

Flashback to a New Yorker cartoon from May 31, 1974...

Nixon is angrily berating the GOP, saying "Listen, are you going to be loyal to me or to that (expletive deleted) Constitution?" While the phones with the recordings sits on his desk.

We've been here before.

This is what my job gave me for Administrative Professional's Day. I would have preferred a raise that matched inflation, but the owner has two planes to feed. #administrativeprofessionalsday

One of my favorite photos I've ever taken. Griselda was one of my first senior fosters and she was beautiful and beleaguered.

And, I understand that everyone has to eat. And it's mind blowingly cool that in a single second, the coyote had a detailed map in her brain based off what she was smelling. They're so smart, so adaptive.

But I hope that mama knew a shortcut to get back to her baby.

Time stood still until the coyote BOLTED down the street. The doe took off after, and looked like she was closing the gap until we lost sight of them.

Once recovering from being twenty feet from the whole thing, my sister went home and I sat on the porch for a while.

Then, from the backyard, a coyote came up. This was unusual, but not unheard of, I lived near a big city park.

The coyote and the deer locked eyes. My sister and I glanced at each other, both not believing what was happening.

Here is the story of one of the craziest animal encounters I've ever had. My sister was leaving my house and I was walking her out when we noticed a deer in the front yard. This was not unusual, but it's always a sacred moment, so we both watched her and she watched us for a couple of minutes.

I met this cool dog at the thrift store and just sat down to hang out when the manager came up and started yelling at me to put a leash on her. Thankfully, her actual people claimed her and put her leash on.

Two screen shots of text messages, the background shows the roof of an abandoned house, a tree, and part of a garage. The first text reads, "I am having them do a mani and Pedi while she's under. Sell her feet pics" and the response reads "Our parents are getting on a watch list looking looking up" feet pics "on the heaven internet"

Our (beloved) dead parents (also beloved) dog has to have a really expensive and unexpected surgery on Monday (we're mostly confident of a successful outcome!) and my sister and I are being super normal about it. Posted with her permission.

Two dogs and a cat are snuggled on the couch. Skillet, a 45 pound English Shepherd, is asleep on the back of the couch. Bird, a 60 pound pit bull mix who resembles a St. Bernard in coloring. Brenda, a tabby cat, is lying in front of Bird. They're lying on a purple patchwork quilt with a blue and neon flannel back.

The animal situation in my house is just crazy adorable tonight, holy shit.

A multicolored (black/red/orange/purple) piece of hand knit fabric.

I'm trying to lean on Creation Seratonin instead of Consumption Seratonin, so please enjoy a WIP pic of my first sweater project.

The Gadsden Flag of a coiled snake with the words "Don't Tread on Me" in black font. Overlayed on this image is red text reading "Luke 10:19 - Behold, I give unto you power to tread upon serpents"

I made this a while back because I was thinking about cool flags I would fly if I wanted to get my ass kicked checking the mail.
