i'm really annoyed the internet has reached a point where people by default think every game is bad, especially with older ones. i get this from random chatters no matter how much i am enjoying myself, streamers have their whole personality revolve around trashing every tiny thing, it's exhausting

In Super Mario Galaxy 2, the Wigglers on the Tall Trunk Galaxy slide are special slide-only Wigglers that literally cannot exist outside of it. If one of them is allowed to make it all the way up the slide, he will lose his head and become a singularity.

If you see something outrageous on the other app, something depraved, stop responding to it. As soon as people got paid for engagement, people farm it by saying the most vile unbelievable things possible. So really just delete the app because everything is just bots and ulterior motives.

I get really hyper vivid dreams (esp. since last year), which sounds neat on paper but in practice it manifests in weird ways. Like getting a hyper realistic stomachache in a dream after I ate all the insulation off an extension cord for whatever reason

In the Super Mario Galaxy games, all areas have parallel versions loaded based on the current mission or state of the plot, called "scenarios". Starship Mario in Super Mario Galaxy 2 has a special scenario for the cutscenes playing after getting a Grand Star, so instead of taking place in the regular version of the area, they can be thought as taking place in a dedicated "cutscene dimension". Here, a group of objects is loaded that each contains the script for one of the cutscenes. The objects are invisible in-game, but create an L shape when viewed in a model editor. Note that while we do not know how the programmers saw the objects in their own editor while making the game, the coordinates of the objects make an L shape, so it would have been a floating L regardless of how the individual objects looked. I think Mouthwashing is a perfect example of a game that really did not need merch or a fandom. It’s still one of the most haunting narratives I’ve ever played, but I feel like selling Burnt Curly as a marketable plush just winds up detracting from the experience
