At the end of the day, the two get to just die of old age, roza first and verin very soon thereafter

She does eventually find peace in herself though, and with that, the aging returns to normal and she gets to live relatively healthy. She uses her knowledge in poisons to dedicate herself to medicine and Druidic healing magic, partially in hope of also helping slow down Verin’s memory issues

Roza ages into a wine mom grandma. She gets white hairs fairly young, especially in the years right after leaving the city. She starts realising just how awful the environment her and verin lived in was, and the stress from all of it starts making her look older fast.

He also changes physically, growing noticeably heavier now that he actually gets to live a life how he wants and gets to relax. He gets a few scars from his new job as a blacksmith, but sees that as nothing but a side effect from a job he loves. At least until the years catch up to him via back pain

Yet as time goes on, the damage to his brain starts regressing again and he starts forgetting things short-term as well. Memory problems become more frequent and it is something that genuinely stresses him out, even when roza assures him that it’s okay and it’s not as bad as the tadpole.

Once two two have settled down in the outskirts of the city, Verin very slowly starts remembering some things from his past life. Never memories, more so facts. +
