We are At War now, according to President Bush, and I take him at his word. He also says this War might last for "a very long time." Generals and military scholars will tell you that eight or 10 years is actually not such a long time in the span of human history - which is no doubt true - but history also tells us that 10 years of martial law and a wartime economy are going to feel like a Lifetime to people who are in their twenties today. The poor bastards of what will forever be known as Generation Z are doomed to be the first generation of Americans who will grow up with a lower standard of living than their parents enjoyed. Imagine a world where children are never encouraged to draw or write or imagine stories, they are only told to consume and prompt and generate, poking the Approved Intellectual Property Characters with a stick to dance for them, but never having characters or worlds or stories of their own.

Last night I watched two different Youtube videos that were objectively wrong - which I knew because I had been present at the events in question - and it really highlights the old saying: The more I read online about things I'm an expert in, the less I trust anything I read on the internet at all.

Being a solo creator is tough bc if I get burnt out or sick or busy with personal life, everything comes to a screeching halt. There’s no one else to answer emails or edit audio or help keep this thing afloat.

I have more stories I’d love to write, but so little motivation atm.

Oh for sure, I feel ya. I’m not beating myself up about it too bad. I posted this mostly as a message to hold myself accountable. To “not get distracted by the shiny new idea” and to sorta “finish my homework” first.

But unfortunately I am enamored with some of these shiny new ideas. 🤣

I know Ive kept you all waiting too long already. So before I dig into any of the burning new story ideas or take on any other offers or opportunities I promise I’ll get this story finished and get these episodes into your feed. Sorry it hasn’t happened already.
