Really love the idea of doing a RP unit in this faux old hammer fantasy look, almost as if they’re knights of the realm

You’re right, it would be far better if they write and expand interesting female lead narratives and lore, or existing female roles in factions, then retro something in.
The former would also mean they have to interact with women’s stories, bodies and drives, not just female head sculpts sculpts

Really happy with the basing and the colours, just shades and acrylics, no pigments or effects
Got waylaid buy my new bike build, but will finish the heads on these over the next week then take a break painting something else
Cracking on painting these guys in small batches
REALLY happy with how the unique bolters came out
digging into the bits box of of reivers and infiltrators to create these marines, cutting up all the blade pouches and pockets to give them a survivalist feel
Haven’t done the heads yet think it might be cool to mismatch them
Although kitbashing an entire warhammer army is definitely laborious

Inspired by petethewargamer but hope to put my own spin on it with basing and some green stuff
I have ordered Warhammer supplies,
We got basing bits, paints, models, brushes, varnishes, 9 types of glue, models, ball bearings, everything
excited to do this longer project now I have a playable army
Expect lore, kitbashing, and painting aplenty in the coming weeks
I also painted a couple of space marines as colour tests/ free hand practice.
Honestly after painting 30 odd Phobos marines I cannot WAIT to paint some chunkier boys
