Day 4 of our recent Nordkapps round Nordkapp sea kayak trip. We had a breezy open water crossing with swell, a great lunch spot and spotted a nice looking cascade. Plus spotted a runaway tent (not ours) which thankfully got stuck in rocks. 21.74 miles in 5H14min of paddling. #seakayaking #norway

Nice paddle for these two families last Friday.

Ouaisne to Portelet Bay. A NE wind and a bit of chop meant the group had to paddle hard in a couple of places on the way out. But this also made the return trip a breeze with wind at their backs.

Launching from St Brelades we worked our way along the coast up to Point La Moye for a glimpse of Corbiere in the sunshine and then headed back.

A great morning on the water exploring caves East of Greve De Lecq.

Sea conditions were perfect for getting deep into most of the caves. Plus a few rock hops and gullies on route to Ronez Point. Then a more direct route back to Greve.

This father and son team managed to paddle from St Brelades to La Rosiere return during our 1.5 hours on the water, covering 4.64 miles. They both now have this years record for the furthest distance paddled on one of our sit on top tours.

A view inside the bow of a replica Inuit hunting kayak from Nunavik. The kayak has a wooden frame with a translucent cloth covering, a necessary substitution for the original's sealskin cover. In the center is a black cat with green eyes. Her name is Tinker and she is 17 years old. She likes canned cat food served in tuna water. No hairballs were left in the kayak's bow during this difficult photo-shoot.

Chilled Sunday afternoon paddle with this local family from Ouaisne.

The sky might have been overcast but the air temp was still 23C with a sea temp of 17.5C which made for pleasant paddling conditions.

This mother a daughter team were strong paddlers, which enabled us to get a bit further along the coast than usual. Covering 4.75 miles.
