how I discovered Sufjan, forever grateful for that
they really nailed the casting, they all seem to be having a blast and it shows
only s1 complaint is that they flubbed the emotional climax of arlong park
makes me a little wary of how they're gonna handle all the big emotional moments later the flashbacks especially
but its always a fun watch
I wish...
ah, did not know that! i guess it makes sense as greens are one of the most abundant color in nature
felt like my entire reputation as an artist depended on it lol
red/pinks gave me much more trouble than the rest, interesting
feel like i burned off my retinas with some of these red/pinks but it's fun
thanks a bunch!
ha! good catch!
anyway if you have strats for the wizard, cause i like that bouncy guy
im liking Sol Cesto and looking forward to 1.0 release but having a super hard time with all characters other than huntress and knight, which are the only classes i've finished with
indeed there's a fine line between expressing doubts and seeking connection or validation from peers vs putting yourself and your work down in a way that's very off-putting
gotta admit I cried a little when he handed it to me
he gave so much!
*feeling good* about your art can definitely be tough, but at some point the way you talk about it will either get you stuck in a positive or a negative feedback loop - if all you say about your art is that it sucks, at some point it'll be hard to believe anything else
yes! it affects you, the artist, and everyone who sees your art too! it's just not a healthy thing to do, and while *feeling good* about your art is not an easy thing, actively talking shit about it is entirely optional!!
right!!
like you don't need to be like "look at this amazing thing i made" but like you made something that didn't exist before you made it, at least be proud and if you don't feel like gassing yourself up, which i get, at least remain neutral, just post your art without commentary
seriously i've unfollowed artists whose art i love cause they won't stop talking shit about their own art
talking about the hardships of making art, of being an artist in this climate etc... perfectly fine
"my art is trash i don't know why i even bother" *posts amazing stuff*
stop it!
i used to really like lore but somewhere along the line, the host's speech cadence started becoming very... something.. (very - like..- truncated) and i find it hard to listen to now
hurts a little every time i see it yeah! i was fortunate enough to cross paths with him a few times as we are represented by the same gallery and he was always super supportive of other artists!
thank you for all the suggestions! some good stuff in there!
lately i've been falling asleep to red shoe diaries, there's something about the dull voiceovers, soft porn lounge music and general city ambiance that really does the trick
was organizing my books and just wanted to share one of my most cherished possessions
back in 2019 I did a demo/signing with Kim Jung Gi (life is funny like that sometimes) and he drew me and made me look way cooler than i actually am
On the Shore. Personal artwork from 2025. Hopefully part of a longer story that has started to brew.
that sounds nice thank you!
weirdly the more fiction ones like knifepoint horror don't do the trick, i need more documentary stuff...
what's a good podcast for falling asleep? I need a monotone voice with not too many vocal idiosyncrasies talking about interesting stuff that's easy to follow, bonus if there's a nice soundscape in the bg
as delightful as M&S are when they are together, some of their best moments happen when they're apart
