Focus on the small stuff, the free stuff, as it turns out, the best stuff; looking closely at a flower, a leaf, a feather and marvelling over how beautiful it is, how much work went into creating that & how much more went into creating you.

Birds singing, a smile from a stranger, sun on your face, the shoes on your feet. There is an endless list, take a moment to notice those little things. We are all unique, anyone who has ever lived was created uniquely. We all have our special qualities that make us, us. We all do good things and we all make mistakes & that is fine. Jou are worthy of your place and you are special for being the only you that ever existed. You matter to this world, you matter enough to me that I wrote this letter for you. One day you will be able to write your letter and tell your story of how you got through a tough time and how grateful you are to be here in this wonderful life that was waiting for you all along. Horizon line is a row of mountains in the background, with blue sky occupying the top 1/3 of the photo, except in the center. In the center background, a snow capped mountain rises almost to the top of the photo in a great dome shape. Between the mountain and the central background is mostly forest, with the start of a farm field several miles distant, occupying the land from there to the foreground. There is a cluster of trees in the foreground that has turned several shades of red and yellow, in contrast with the mostly green forest in the distance.

Trees are starting to change color near Mt Adams on 22 October 2024, as seen in tonight's 9 o'clock photo.

On Saturday I attempted to get a photo of a Bewick’s that had decided to sing from the top of a tree.

The camera decided everything else was much more interesting.
