Another funny detail: If he swiftcasts a motif, instead of the appropriate motif painting showing up, it'd just be a hastily scrawled equation or geometry instead. He was classically trained in arcanima first, so depicting the motif in that form is easier for him than actually painting it.🤓

Katsuro is consumed by guilt for ditching his little buddy for the paint brush. Much like most things he does, he added his own flair on motifs after mastering the basics replacing standard motifs w/carbuncle ones as homage.
