Scavengers Reign (2023)

The best recent sci-fi show that almost no one has seen.

Colour print in a Moebius style of a calm turquoise lake or wide river, lined by craggy karsty-looking mountains and forest. Two fishermen with wide conical hats stand on slender rafts; each raft has a lantern suspended at the front, a large basket, and a cormorant perching on the basket. A third cormorant stands on one of the rafts. The fishermen hold long punting poles. On the far bank of the lake is a large bowl-style radio telescope, wreathed with low cloud or mist. More cloud billows up against a blue sky, and emerging from this cloud - perhaps floating, perhaps resting on ground obscured by cloud - is an octahedron, several hundred metres tall. It is coloured with a pale pink and blue gradient, and coloured bubbling suggests it may be materialising somehow out of the cloud.

One of the things I really respected about Scavengers Reign is how it has such a singular vision BUT you can also really recognize the hands of specific artists like Jonathan Djob Nkondo and Jon Juarez (work pictured below)
