New Yorkers please sign up for a few shifts this week. Enormously helpful! lindsey-boylan-for-city-council.solidarity.tech/lindsey-boyl...
The video of a United States Senator joining the violent removal of U.S. marine from a hearing and hideously breaking his arm in a door is an example of what has been unleashed in this country. They’re tapping in to get in on the violence.
And then he bragged about it on X later.
Four more!!!!!!!!
Some people in NYC have more smoke for kids throwing snowballs than the pedophiles in the Epstein files. 🧐🤨
Making people pay for street parking in this gridlocked city? That could generate $1.3 billion—yes, billion—each year. And unlike taxing the rich, this revenue idea is completely within the City's power to implement. Now we're talking!

My friend @cynthianixon.bsky.social knows what it means to fight. She is seen as a North Star in progressive politics for a reason. From her fight for economic justice to advocating for the rights of all New Yorkers, I am beyond humbled to call her my friend and honored to have her support.
Having the experience of being a professional casualty of this effort, I know the damage that has been done cannot be undone, but we have have to celebrate these wins.
This is a huge win for educational equity and academic freedom. Lots of gratitude to those fighting on the front lines in court to reject this racist agenda from the Trump administration. www.aclu.org/press-releas...

After years of watching former Mayor Eric Adams defund and decapitate the Department of Transportation, we were pleasantly surprised by Mayor Zohran Mamdani's "down payment," on ramping up staff and funding for the agency. nyc.streetsblog.org/2026/02/18/w...
Governor Hochul does not support the New York Health Act, but her primary challenger @delgadoforny.bsky.social does (as does @indiab.bsky.social).
Along with #NY4All, climate, and of course #TaxTheRich, moving NY towards universal health care is another live issue in the gubernatorial primary.
Right before leaving office, Eric Adams appointed this racist dirtbag to the NYC Panel for Educational Policy (aka the School Board) to undermine any progressive education policy. He needs to be removed immediately. www.chalkbeat.org/newyork/2026...
Speaker Julie Menin cut a deal with racist MAGA republican Vernikov to secure her seat. I wonder if she supports her threatening student anti-war demonstrators, with a gun, or the fact that she has repeatedly attacked our mayor’s faith. This is disgraceful. www.jfrej.org/news/2026/01...
I’m ok. I’m a survivor so this small agitator isn’t going to intimidate me from doing my work.
I don’t let bullies win.
Grateful to my incredible constituents who rallied behind me. Minnesota strong.
I could say many bad true things about the governor's record, but I'll share just one, relevant to this:
Hochul got her first 15 minutes of fame as county clerk for refusing to follow state law requiring her to process driver's licenses for undocumented people.
She does not care about immigrants.
Umm, the people funding and cheerleading a genocide are the same people who have voted to consistently fund ICE since 2003.
They don’t care about the law or constitution. If they did, a rapist pedophile wouldn’t be president.
Actually, the Democrats have been supportive of ICE through funding and fawning since its inception. They have always been complicit.

I don’t follow you, and don’t really care if you block me. You are commenting on my post. But since you took the time, Democrats have voted to fund ICE since its inception, and 7 Dems last week voted with the GOP for more funding. This is called being complicit. www.independent.co.uk/news/world/a...
It’ll get darker. This regime has no sense of morality.
Unfortunately, they will likely comply with orders.
Go back to brunch. We’ve got it from here.
Are the 7 Democrats who voted with the GOP to fund ICE allies? Is the leadership who has done nothing but send out strongly worded statements out allies?
The Trump administration has declared war on the American people. The death, violence, and terrorism being perpetrated by his administration will only get worse. The Democrats are complicit.
We are the only ones who can keep each other safe. These are going to be dark times.
This is exactly right. When I was training to become a special education teacher, we understood “gifted” learners as those with exceptional learning needs who needed specialized support, not kids who kick ass on tests. NYC has used G&T as enclaves for the privileged.
We have a huge opportunity to reshape how NYC schools operate. Instead of focusing on serving a select few, we need a system that is designed to serve the many. The research is clear on this.

I’ve known Kamar for many years and he is a great choice to lead our school system. He’s a strong instructional leader, a skilled coalition builder, and someone that is committed to equity and integration. I’m excited to see his leadership unfold as our Chancellor.
