Crossword has moved offline for me during my trip to Australia! I've been solving @unchcrosswords.com, @dontattempt.bsky.social in The Age, February's barred puzzle by @henriwords.com and much more.
I’ve never done puzzle testing before, but I do have time…
Delighted to be back as Bard in the @the-independent.com today.

It's not quite right to say that my first mini took me three months to set, but it's not wrong either. Paging @cranberryfez.bsky.social & @charliemethven.bsky.social, who I know both tried to do this, and for everyone else:
Demonstrate way of filling empty spliff (4,3)

Edit: 9d, not 13d (13d doesn't exist; pardon my drowsiness, as I wrote this between two translation tasks...)
Some of my favorites are 17a (because I've been translating all summer) and 13d (because it's got a great definition).
@guineverecryptic.bsky.social sets today's Indy cryptic, and I think you should do it! I find it the right puzzle for a Tuesday morning: it's both gentle and inspiring for those getting into regular cryptics.
Thanks Boatman! I hadn't mentioned that when I asked, but I also use quite a lot of first and last letters too; I'm trying to cut those down when writing clues recently.
Thanks Catnip! That's solid advice.
Mine appears to be deletions. Experienced setters, is there a limit on that?
I actually saw your DM before the comments on MyC 😆 Please know that I'm replying to it!
