Dorian, a gray cat with gold eyes, sits on top of a fair isle knitted hexagon in shades of black, blue, green, and light gray. The edges are curly because it isn't finished yet.

Severance is top tier sci-fi because it is both an allegory for something we can all relate to — work-life balance, exploitation by corporations — and also a wholly separate reality that brings up its own ethical and moral quandaries, like can innies to to Heaven when their outies go to Hell?

Devastating for scientists and their research, and everyone who benefits from that research.
I’m not sure if everyone outside academia is aware that a delay or “pause” in grant funding often means the researchers themselves are lost from the field, along with their expertise.

I am pleased to introduce the first annual Festive Movie Make-a-long. It’s a relaxed, easy MAL where we share our crafting and the festive movies we watch in the month of December. It’s going to be really fun!
