13 of Andrew Vaughn's 26 batted balls this spring have been 100+ mph, including 2 more today. In my estimation, that is good.

Some very poor defense behind Kyle Harrison today sullied his line, even if the runs show up as earned runs. He got nine swings and misses in 3.2, but really got five outs in the fourth inning.
Talked to Quinn Priester this morning and he confirmed he has a neurogenic thoracic outlet injury.
Here’s what he said about what he’s dealing with:
You never know how a Pat Murphy media session will go. It’s the wild wild West of coach interviews in pro sports. He may even just hand @adammccalvy.bsky.social an entire bag full of Girl Scout cookies.
Had a really good, honest conversation with Jake Bauers. You should read about it.

Jett Williams' first at-bat in two weeks: A 106.6 mph double to right-center. Ho hum.
Quinn Priester is dealing with something in the "family" of thoracic outlet syndrome. Here's everything to know after talking with Pat Murphy this afternoon.

GOODYEAR, Ariz. — I just housed some Chili’s.
Akil Baddoo is dealing with a quad injury more serious than initially believed. He will be out 4-6 weeks without baseball activities.
Quinn Priester is dealing with pressure on a nerve in his shoulder, an injury in the thoracic outlet “family”, Pat Murphy said. The team feels it has a treatment plan in place to manage it now. Priester will throw a bullpen on March 21 and proceed from there.
Logan Henderson is throwing a bullpen today for the first time since last Wednesday and should be back in game action sometime soon, he said. The Brewers don’t have concern with his latest elbow inflammation.
Well shit
Nothing that happens in spring training matters…except MAYBE these things…..

Yeah, this week has been pretty cool.
Potential Boomer Post coming:
Wait Venezuela-DR is on *Tubi*?!?
Luis Rengifo has not had a good day defensively. Three plays now he probably should have made and did not.
Some of the guys (me) are dragging a bit today, but that won't stop us (me) from taking a crack at the opening day roster and lineup.

“It’s weird. We want to win this game even though our ticket’s punched to the quarterfinals," Team USA manager Mark DeRosa on MLB Network earlier today.
Obviously, the US has very much NOT clinched anything yet, especially after the potential outcome of this game.

(Brice Turang being on the bench for this game was a ridiculous decision from Mark DeRosa to begin with)
Is, uh, the US gonna miss the knockout rounds???
Should I turn on this game on local Phoenix television, Jim?
Let’s check in on Canad—yep sounds about right
Bobby Witt Jr., Brice Turang, Joey Ortiz (L-R, pictured at Daikin Park March 9)
That is a TOUGH error to give to Brice Turang, but that’s life when you don’t have Jake Bauers over there to catch the baseball.
Jake Bauers is 9 for 17 with three homers and five walks this spring, a real contender for Cactus League MVP.
Jesús Made is 25+ pounds bigger and stronger than he was a year ago at this time. Of all the impressions he made in his first big league camp, his physicality might be No. 1.
"He's a specimen."

Overheard from Brewers dugout during Brandon Sproat’s sim game : “Damn you, Sal.”
Jett Williams will get back to game action on Thursday night.
Jesús Made was reassigned to minor league camp among a series of cuts today.
Quinn Priester is set to go see a specialist to examine his wrist injury.
