halfway across the world there are people i love that i want to share time with. and for me, there always has been, and always will be somebody halfway across the world

it's easy to feel cynical about social media. even more so when now i'm thinking more actively about getting a job, about money. at the same time i'm writing again, shedding some discomfort i have about sharing things online, about transparently posting myself

gonna start having more fun on the internet again. caught up with a friend that i only ever talked to online for the first time in four years. she told me about how she posted a photo of her cat on instagram and it landed her a gig. i call my mom over kakaotalk and i keep up with my bro's substack.

a note titled "2025-07-29": today i set up my obsidian workspace. i also installed an app that makes my keyboard make sounds when i type. as i write i have that going along with some rain noise. it's nice to have noise in my ears as i write. it's nice to block out the sounds of the world. maybe in the future i'll get noise cancelling headphones.

i was looking for a nice text editor and thought i'd make a simple file-managing markdown text editor. then my partner pointed me to obsidian. i've been hearing about obsidian for so long but i didn't know it was this!!
