🌟 Currently, Nsongurua’s work is centred on how food should be produced, distributed, and consumed in a more ethical, environmentally safe, and socially inclusive way. Rather than depending on long, industrialised supply chains, her work focuses on local and regional food networks. 👏

🌟 She has also carried out needs assessment for community outreach programmes, working closely with local communities to identify specific challenges and solutions.

🌟 Nsongurua has taught courses in rural sociology, agricultural communication, diffusion of innovation, and agricultural administration while conducting research on enhancing rural lives.

🌟 SCAF MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Nsongurua Inyang is a postgraduate researcher at the University of Aberdeen! 🌟

Nsongurua’s background is in agricultural economics and extension, and rural development. 🌱 #FoodStudies

🌟 Lindsay believes that tackling food loss and waste can only be achieved through cross-disciplinary work, owing to the wide diversity of contributing factors. 💡

🌟 Lindsay's main focus is the health of post-harvest leafy brassica crops and bioengineering for post-harvest traits. Last year, Lindsay and her teammate, Dr Adil Khan, won the Plant Cell Atlas Hackathon 2024 competition to design synthetic constructs for plants. 👏

🌟 Through her work, Lindsay aims to improve food safety by exploring the impact of harvest on the plant microbiome, particularly food-borne human pathogens. 🌱
