When I went to secondary where subjects like maths and science where main parts of the curriculum I discovered I was not the stupid pupil I had previously been labelled.

Very true, the focus at primary school was learning to read and write which was quite a challenge for me. On several occasions I was punched repeatedly on the back, because I couldn’t pronounce words correctly. This teacher was the local ministers wife!

I can empathise with this when I was diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of 62.
