I make dinner, do the dishes and all of the dirty jobs, so everyone wins.

Did that once (well, didn’t notice that a red towel had been put in the washer already and threw the whites on top of it). Got lucky that it was a small load and no one minded those particular clothes turning pink.

But of course no one let it go (justifiably)

It’s a little less feigning and more I am just not good enough at folding, and I can’t tell my kids clothes apart.

It goes both ways because I banished my spouse from dishes, because I am better and she gets dry hands. 😃

When this ICE shit started, a mutual I’d never met asked how to help. I sent him to a friend’s kid’s preschool that was struggling to find patrollers. He’s been there almost daily, even in brutal cold, at a school where he didn’t know anyone, to keep folks safe. We finally met and got beers tonight.
