The Ralston XI?
“Made by” is the key phrase there: plainly untrue, but the cultural worldview that talks this way is what allows them to be so powerfully awful.

That looks like a fairly big legal land mine to have stepped on. Good.
Wholesome pub life for the weans. Fleadh Cheoil, Wexford.
I’m not nominating anything, obvs. But if we decide not to charge students for tuition (good!) we need to find the money from somewhere and not just pretend it isn’t required. Each Eng Uni gets about £4k more per student per year than Scottish ones and that is unsustainable.
This is something to be proud of only as long as Scottish Universities are still being adequately funded for the students they teach. But they are not.
Congratulations, Tim! Very well deserved.

@kermodeandmayo.bsky.social did I miss “Deep Cover” review? Or is it too new/too streaming-y?
I thought it was a total riot. Haven’t laughed that hard at a film since… Booksmart, maybe?
I appear to be morphing into the pikachu format myself!
Deary me. Dysfunction abounds in Celtic recruitment.
