According to TV2 the new Part 2 of the Arctic defence agreement will include:

2 additional Arctic frigates (total 5)

Maritime Patrol aircraft (reportedly P-8)

Icebreaking “capacity”

Drones

Radars

New military HQ in Nuuk

Naval facilities in Nuuk

Army Arctic regiment

#OTD 7 October 1813 at Weisser Hirsch in Mecklenburg a force of the Danish Auxiliary Corps defeats troops from Freikorps von Lützow and Russian cossacks. Infantry from Slesvigske Infanteriregiment stopped the enemy, which was routed by two hussar squadrons.

Denmark has assigned two F-35 for air operations in Poland and Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and eastern Baltic Sea as part of the NATO operation Eastern Sentry. The Danish frigate F363 Niels Juel will also be deployed to the area.

The recent drone incidents in Denmark were almost exactly 3 years after drones flew near and above 🇩🇰Danish and 🇳🇴Norwegian oil & gas platforms. The large drones were most likely launched from Russian trawlers. Three years warning to act and prepare.

Apparently this:

Danish Defence Intelligence Service (DDIS) has published an updated threat assessment and it is as expected if “conventional military threat” means invasion.

It also states “It is highly likely that the hybrid threat from Russia against NATO will increase in the coming years.”

As a consequence of the drone sightings and associated activities and emphazising the severity of the situation 🇩🇰Danish defence has activated several hundred reservists according to Danish TV2. Maybe it is time for more including some of us oldtimers to rejoin the reserves.

Nu var det mere et eksempel at man alle steder globalt hvor der er satellitdækning kan man ikke “forsvinde”. I danske farvande er helt almindelig kyst/antikollisionsradar og kystudkig og udkig fra skibe jo meget nemmere og til dels bedre.

RF - Radio Frequency der i dette tilfælde er skibets elektromagnetiske udstråling.

SAR - Synthetic Aperture Radar der måler energiudstråling fra fx et skib.

Du konkluderer vist lidt voldsomt her i dit forsvar for EB, men min pointe er en anden og har intet med valg af fotos at gøre. Fint nok hvis du synes det er vigtigt.

Har jeg talt om et billede? Jeg taler ovenfor om det nonsens de skriver med at skib kan forsvinde.

Det er på alle måder en masse nonsens for at lave en historie til “forsiden”. Man kan også spørge sig selv hvorfor de slukker for AIS når de ved at dem der følger dem professionelt kan følge dem uanset.
