Another annoyance are ones that come with all sorts of flashing patterns and strobe effects. Not always bad, I like some of the twinkling ones, but people have no taste and will just leave them on the default setting where they cycle through every combination or the most obnoxious flashing possible

That and the wire itself is thinner so more prone to damage.

Most LED string lights I have from even several years ago use the old style and look the same as old incandescent strings, but just with LED bulbs instead.

I noticed that a ton of the new LED string lights no longer use the style of cord with chainable plugs on each end, they have like, a sort of power brick on one end and a flimsy little plug that attaches that to the LED string. And a lot of them say the power brick part just isn't weatherproof.

You literally CANNOT be prepared to play a new popular game on release without going to extreme lengths to block it out on social media (and youtube, via etensions) otherwise literally everything about it is insta-spoiled by clout chasers, people posting about it without thinking, and now AI barf.

We need to focus on building each other up, now more then ever!

Her mom is apparently a right wing outrage grifter so this 100 percent reads as her seeing that the professor who will grade her is trans, deliberately writing crap knowing that professor will give her a bad grade, then spin it to persecute said trans person and DARVO to claim persecution herself.

This is also disingenuous af because "machine learning" as a concept has been used or in development for LONG before the AI bullshit hype bubble, but techbros (gender neutral) looove to lump every such thing under the vague "AI" label to give legitimacy to their bullshit generators.

I hate that sort of thing so much.

It was for a college assignment to use some sort of creative media to represent a period in the earth's history and the life that was around back then.

Carboniferous in particular caught my attention because of the giant clubmosses, horsetails, and ferns that grew to the size of trees!

Prehistoric plants are awesome! Reminds me of a project where I did a bunch of research on plants from the Carboniferous and used that to create, a 3d scene in a game engine you could walk around in and made models of several plants from the period in a sort of rainforest environment.

namely carnivorous plants in boggy areas. I've only seen it in the wild a couple of times but on like, a nature hike through a bog with a boardwalk going through it.

Trees are also cool though, of course. Kinda all the way across the spectrum... tiny plants like mosses and huge plants like trees!

Oooo I love moss. And low creeping mosslike plants (Irish and Scotch moss may not be true mosses but they sure fit the aesthetic). Probably my favorite type of moss is Sphagnum moss, the live moss has such a full fuzzy texture to it. Plus it grows alongside some of my other plant hyperfixations.

Oh I feel a bit of the same lol.
