📖 David Korten introduces an inventive economic model, "eco-nomics," essential for fostering a life-centric civilisation. It can replace the current model which only serves the already rich at the cost of the planet and other people.

🤝75 years of the European Convention on Human Rights

A landmark treaty that reshaped Europe after the second World War, protecting millions of Europeans and supporting our shared values of human rights, democracy and rule of law.

Because human rights aren’t optional. They’re universal.

10,000+ social co-ops in Italy provide democratized care to children, the poor, and the disabled/elderly. Both care workers and care recipients participate in decision-making and shape the services provided.

A better kind of care is possible. One that is democratic and places people above profit.

Soy consumption: What’s the impact on biodiversity? Soy is one of the world’s most widely traded crops and a key driver of deforestation in South America. The EU imports 17 million tonnes each year, mostly from Brazil and Argentina.

Did you know?

About 94% of all soy grown worldwide is used for animal feed, not for direct human consumption.
While the Amazon often draws the most attention, Brazil’s Cerrado – the most biodiverse savannah in the world – has already lost two thirds of its area to agriculture, much of it for soy exports.
In 2022 alone, EU soy imports caused the conversion of 125,000 hectares of land in Brazil, releasing around 19 million tonnes of CO₂.

2015 marked a peak in some areas of Brazil: in some regions, around 200,000 hectares of land were converted for agricultural use. In the following years, the amount of converted land declined, but has been rising again since 2019/2020.
