Quote from David Korten, Member of The Club of Rome on the left in white and dark blue text against a bright blue background: “We are not dealing with a broken system in need of repair. We are dealing with a failed system in need of replacement.” Photo of him at a podium on the right.
📖 David Korten introduces an inventive economic model, "eco-nomics," essential for fostering a life-centric civilisation. It can replace the current model which only serves the already rich at the cost of the planet and other people.

Text on a light, textured background reads: "Human rights aren't optional. They're universal." Below, in smaller blue text: "EUROPEAN CONVENTION ON HUMAN RIGHTS 75 YEARS (1950 - 2025)" next to a small image of the EU flag.
A list of fundamental human rights on a light, textured background. The text reads: "Right to life. Prohibition of torture. Prohibition of slavery and forced labour. Right to liberty and security. Right to a fair trial. No punishment without law. Right to respect for private and family life. Freedom of thought, conscience and religion. Freedom of expression. Freedom of assembly and association. Right to marry. Right to an effective remedy. Prohibition of discrimination. Prohibition of abuse of rights." Below, in smaller blue text: "EUROPEAN CONVENTION ON HUMAN RIGHTS 75 YEARS (1950 - 2025)" next to a small image of the EU flag.
🤝75 years of the European Convention on Human Rights
A landmark treaty that reshaped Europe after the second World War, protecting millions of Europeans and supporting our shared values of human rights, democracy and rule of law.
Because human rights aren’t optional. They’re universal.

Soy consumption:
What’s the impact on biodiversity?
Soy is one of the world’s most widely traded crops and a key driver of deforestation in South America. The EU imports 17 million tonnes each year, mostly from Brazil and Argentina.
Did you know?
About 94% of all soy grown worldwide is used for animal feed, not for direct human consumption.
While the Amazon often draws the most attention, Brazil’s Cerrado – the most biodiverse savannah in the world – has already lost two thirds of its area to agriculture, much of it for soy exports.
In 2022 alone, EU soy imports caused the conversion of 125,000 hectares of land in Brazil, releasing around 19 million tonnes of CO₂.
A diagram shows land conversion in Brazil induced by soy exports to the EU27.
2015 marked a peak in some areas of Brazil: in some regions, around 200,000 hectares of land were converted for agricultural use. In the following years, the amount of converted land declined, but has been rising again since 2019/2020.
🌱 Most of the soy that we consume is hidden in animal products – what is the impact on #biodiversity? 🌎

An illustration showing Earth from space with a focus on North and South America, rendered in blue and white tones. Two curved lines above the planet represent the ozone layer. The background features a light blue sky with small birds silhouetted in the distance. There is a quote from António Guterres, UN Secretary General, stating "TODAY, THE OZONE LAYER IS HEALING." and below "This achievement reminds us that when nations heed the warnings of science, progress is possible." The IPBES logo appears in the bottom right corner. The image uses a minimalist design style with clean lines and a calming color palette.
40 years ago, nations came together to take the first step in protecting the ozone layer – guided by science, united in action. Today, the ozone layer is healing.
—António Guterres, UN Secretary General
