Absolutely! I've been a fan for a loooooong time, I remember playing 2, lol. But 5 is for me the best one by far. Super immersive.

Only thing it lacks is the character customization that Xcom was kind of going for. More of that, so much better, get more invested in your squad.

Mercenaries. Clans felt too fluid, I like that heavy feeling with the mechs.

As much as I want this and will watch this, this is a fanbase that is going to be VERY difficult to please. Casting gonna be wild.

It was so damn good. I still think about that game sometimes.

I spent probably a hundred hours playing that game with my kid. Will always have a special place for me.

Its not a perfect metric. For instance I spent 10 bucks on Obra Dinn and I played for just over 10 hours. Technically only adequate as a purchase, but its an incredible game that I'll remember fondly forever. It's art.

I love Cities Skylines 2, but its a deeply flawed game still. Lots of work for them still to do, but the vision is there, it will appeal to the right people.

Phoenix Point feels like what the final product of Xcom2 should have been. Xcom was good, but it could have been great.

Star Rupture is my current gaming fixation. I liked Satisfactory, but it always felt like it was missing something for me. Apparently that thing is the planet being incinerated every 45 minutes and swarms of bugs.

Into the Dead WILL BE a great game, I believe. Surviving a zombie apocalypse is not a new concept, but the gameplay is interesting, and each bigger update has added more to the game to make me return to it.

Mechwarrior 5 is just fun. That's enough.

This War of Mine, Blue Prince, and especially Return of the Obra Dinn are games you should experience. Few games truly like them. Im not sure ill ever replay Obra Dinn, but ill always remember playing it, if that makes sense.

Bg3 doesn't need an explanation.

POE2 is a lot of fun. Its not quite ready yet, which will be a trend, I like getting in at the ground floor.

Rimworld is obscenely moddable and every playthrough can be a completely unique experience.

Project Zomboid is fun single player, but awesome multi-player. Wanna be a car mechanic in the apocalypse? A cook? You can do that and enjoy it.

The opposite of this, games more than worth it.

1 dollar spent should equal 1 hour of play, those weren't worth it.

I'm making it up. Gonna be mine. It wont be deep, or really all that interesting. Its mildly amusing to me and my kids. That's enough.

I plan on changing my name in 2027 so that doesn't even get passed on. Family as protocol is strange, and should be stamped out in favor of actually caring about each other.
